Scope of Position
The Department of Marketing, Communications and Digital Strategy is responsible for the overall brand management and communications and marketing activities on behalf of the entire Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, OSU Physicians and the College of Medicine.
This Senior Marketing Consultant role is a key position within the Growth Marketing and Reputation Strategy Team. They are directly responsible for advancing the strategic goals and driving significant patient volume for the health system’s Primary Care and Urgent Care service lines—the "Ambulatory Front Door." This role serves as a strategic leader and trusted advisor, managing integrated marketing and communications programs that are essential to attracting and retaining patients, shaping positive market perception, and achieving critical organizational priorities and financial objectives. They provide strategic marketing and communications support across all three mission areas of patient care, research and education.
Position Summary
The Senior Marketing & Communications Consultant for Ambulatory Growth is an experienced strategic leader and trusted client manager accountable for driving patient volume and strategic growth for Primary Care, Urgent Care, and related service lines. This role demands integrated marketing and digital expertise, utilizing strong strategic thinking to translate business goals into high-impact campaigns. Success requires exceptional leadership and cross-functional collaboration to guide centralized teams and partners, and meticulous attention to detail and project management to ensure flawless execution and optimal market positioning.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Experience: 4+ years in marketing, advertising or communications related roles
Skills:
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Adept at navigating ambiguity and leading change; quickly and easily adapts to shifting priorities and continuous organizational evolution.
