About the team:
Our Public Safety Marketing team partners closely with Market Planning, Sales, Engineering, Product, and agency stakeholders to deliver successful marketing campaigns for law enforcement and government customers nationwide. The ideal candidate will be a marketing professional, with a strong desire to grow in industry knowledge and professional services marketing, with an ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrix organization.


About the role:
The Senior Marketing Specialist will help support the government marketing initiatives that span across federal, state and local, specifically within the law enforcement and public safety space. This role will work closely with the respective sector Strategic Marketing Director and other business leaders to differentiate the LexisNexis Risk Solutions brand, help drive LexisNexis Risk Solution business priorities forward (including demand generation and retention efforts), and innovate new marketing and communications solutions. Potential to facilitate marketing and communications targeting activities through assisting with social media campaigns, supporting business expansion initiatives, developing promotional marketing materials, and targeting tools, and managing major promotional events such as trade shows, industry speaking events, sponsorships, and internal conferences related to key prospects and customers.

This Senior Marketing Specialist role will be remote and may require some travel.
 
The ideal candidate will be a marketing professional, with a strong desire to grow in industry knowledge and professional services marketing, with an ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrix organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management and Campaign Activation: Support marketing initiatives in the development, maintenance, and execution of all marketing campaigns including digital strategy

  • Writing: Perform a variety of drafting different types of content

  • Content Development: Exercise judgement around content and edits when creating/updating decks, drafting collateral materials, or updating websites

  • Social Media: Creation and implementation of full social media plans for campaigns

  • Event Support: Can include planning logistics, invitations, registration, conference materials and on-site assistance to create an experience

  • Reporting: Understand a data-driven and metrics-oriented environment and gathers data and inputs data into standard reports, focusing on data accuracy, data curation, proper use of grammar, etc.  

  • Partner Marketing: Comfortable collaborating with alliance business teams to develop content and represent the LexisNexis Risk Solutions brand

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing or Communications preferred)

  • 5-7 years of experience in a marketing environment

  • Knowledge of public safety market and law enforcement customer base

  • Possess an understanding of marketing and communications basics to drive business goals

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Bring innovative thinking and marketing practices to all industry marketing activities

  • Strong team player with the ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team, experience in large corporate setting and/or professional services a plus

  • Organized with ability to prioritize and manage client expectations across multiple, competing projects/priorities with aggressive due dates and quick turn-around times

  • Proficiency in MS Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CoPilot and Internet savvy.

  • Intermediate to Advanced PowerPoint skills are a plus

  • A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of and communicate new technology and marketing trends.

  • A proactive,  self-motivated person capable of leading initiatives in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to prioritize and deliver with high-impact results. Experience with Eloqua, Salesforce, Marmind, Highspot, and Big Marker a plus

Physical and/or logical access to criminal justice information is an essential function of this role.  The successful candidate will be required to pass both the standard company background check for all employees and an enhanced criminal background check conducted by the Company’s state and local law enforcement partners conducted in compliance with the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information System (“CJIS”) security policy.  Employees in this role may also be subject to ongoing criminal background checks as required by the Company’s state and local law enforcement partners.  Candidates and/or employees who are not certified by state and local law enforcement to access criminal justice information will not be able to perform the essential functions of this role.  Employees who subsequently fail to obtain or maintain CJIS compliance may be reassigned or terminated.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $65,100 - $108,500. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. If performed in New York, the base pay range is $71,600 - $119,300.If performed in New York City, the base pay range is $78,100 - $130,300.If performed in Rochester, NY, the base pay range is $65,100 - $108,500.
