Senior Marketing Manager – Breast Cancer Franchise

In the Oncology business unit we are committed to advancing medicines wherever we believe we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with cancer. Today, we have an industry-leading portfolio of 24 approved innovative cancer medicines across more than 30 indications, including breast, genitourinary, colorectal, blood and lung cancers.

Breast Cancer is one of the most common solid Tumour worldwide. Metastatic Breast Cancer (mBC) has a 5 year survival rate of 25-30% and high rate of relapse on therapies currently considered standard of care. This role provides an exciting opportunity to join Oncology and be part of a dynamic team as we Continue to defend SOC position of Ibrance and Tukysa in mBC and launch in new patient populations Her2+ in the UK and making a difference to the lives of mBC patients and families impacted by cancer.  

Pfizer mBC pipeline is robust with two further assets expected in 2028 and 2029.

Current main assets are Ibrance and Tukysa are respectively CDK 4/6 inhibitor and a TKi, used to treat mBC Her2- and Her2+. 

This role reports to the Breast Cancer Franchise lead and will partner closely with the Breast Cancer Cross Functional Team.  The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Ibrance and Tukysa to remain SOC in their respective indications in the UK market. You will be responsible for developing and executing an integrated marketing strategy, a launch plan for new indications and future assets and focus on execution that will drive the portfolio awareness, foster healthcare professional engagement, and ensure successful product competitiveness. 


 

Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Proactively identify relevant insights and ensure they are appropriately integrated into brand strategy and pulled through to plan development, implementation & CFC engagement.
  • Serve as Ibrance and Tukysa OP27 Captain, delivering OP27 with associated LRF aligned to global/regional guidance and with strong engagement from cross functional colleagues. 
  • Lead Development and delivery of end to end customer centric omnichannel campaigns across appropriate channels following best practice for tracking and reporting of campaigns to generate insights through data interpretation and influence the trajectory of future campaigns.
  • Leadership of the Brand Advisory team to operationalize insights to drive performance and alignment with our strategy for both Ibrance and Tukysa.
  • Support development and delivery of Congress plan with CFCs and HO to showcase our brand assets at HCP events.


 

Leadership

  • Collaborate with the cross functional team to deliver the existing ‘26 brand plan with a focus on the omnichannel campaign to achieve budget in line DME spend.
  • Ensure segmentation and targeting is fully understood, delivered, re-evaluated regularly, and mitigation plans developed where execution may not be meeting expectations.
  • Ensure timely input from relevant internal stakeholders (e.g. legal, medical, regulatory) to ensure efficient & compliant delivery on project plans.
  • Lead performance reporting for the brand with regular reviews and mitigation plans developed and implemented where necessary.
  • Leadership within the Breast cancer team of apprentices/undergraduates to ensure projects aligning with their capability and growth plans.


 

Internal / External Ambassador

  • Work with the Code team and agencies to ensure timely and compliant materials approvals for meetings and contracts.
  • Leadership of MRE team to appropriately prioritize critical assets for review and approval ensuring all relevant policies and codes adhered to.
  • Conduct all activities and make all decisions in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, Pfizer Values, & the requirements of the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • As part of broader Oncology Marketing team, lead, and contribute in regular meetings & events.


 

Customer Engagement & Insight

  • Lead the development and execution of HCP (strategy to engage key stakeholders, foster brand advocacy and continue to drive uptake of Ibrance and Tukysa.
  • Ensure that customer and patient insights as well as market issues are well understood and processed into the local /national business plans.


 

Financial Planning

  • Lead the management & prioritisation of DME budget in line with global strategy & IDM commercial office and in dialogue with customer facing functions.
  • Lead data analysis, interpretation, stock management, tracking vs KPls with support of BAI and cross functional team including actionable recommendations with a line of sight to growth.


 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate or Graduate equivalent, and ABPI qualification
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, healthcare environment and NHS
  • Commercially astute with proven experience of brand forecasting, performance tracking and financial management (not limited to operating plans, P&Ls and expense budget).
  • Proven experience in developing and executing omnichannel campaigns which delight external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking capability.
  • Strong cross-functional working skills with a proven track record of coordinating and collaboration across multiple teams; recognized as a leader.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to analyse, define and convey complex concepts and strategies in verbal and written communication.
  • Strong project management and relationship-building skills.
  • Well organized with ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and effectively perform under tight timelines.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Legal/Medical/Regulatory review process, and of maintain up to date and accurate product information in a compliant manner.

     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Deep experience in marketing strategy, brand planning, omni-channel (digital and non-digital) marketing operations and campaign/tactic execution/management.
  • Experience working in oncology, and on mature brands, competition, line extension and LOE would be a bonus.
