Job Description

Your Role: Senior Marketing Manager

At Global, we're home to some of the UK's biggest and most loved media brands - from Heart and Smooth to Global Player and our Podcast slate, across titles like The News Agents and My Therapist Ghosted Me.

We're after a Senior Marketing Manager to help shape and deliver brilliant work across this portfolio. It's a broad role - covering strategy, media and creative - and it's about making sure campaigns are well thought through, well-made and land in a way that feels right for each brand and its audience.

Brand management is a big part of this role too. You'll help make sure our brands are showing up in the right way, staying consistent and evolving in a way that feels true to who they are.

Day to day, you'll be working closely with teams across Content, Product, Brand Design and the wider business - helping join the dots and keeping great work moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign development and delivery (25%)

    • Develop and deliver marketing campaigns across Heart, Smooth, Global Player and the Podcast slate

    • Work across strategy, media and creative to build campaigns that are clear, effective and audience-first

    • Own campaigns from idea to launch — keeping delivery on track across timelines, feedback, approvals and rollout

    • Work with agencies and internal teams to develop strong creative and assets across multiple touchpoints

  • Strategy, media and insight (25%)

    • Help shape briefs using insight, performance data and business objectives

    • Make sure campaigns are built on clear thinking and set up to deliver against the right goals

    • Use audience, brand and performance insight to inform creative development and campaign planning

    • Help build joined-up plans that balance brand ambition with effective, well-targeted delivery

  • Brand management (25%)

    • Help shape how our brands show up — making sure they feel distinctive, consistent and right for their audience

    • Support day-to-day brand management across the portfolio, helping maintain clear positioning, tone and creative consistency

    • Help develop brand expression across campaigns and wider marketing activity

    • Help bring refreshes, rebrands, launches and key brand moments to life in market

    • Work closely with Brand Design to make sure everything is on brand, well crafted and creatively strong

  • Stakeholder and agency management (25%)

    • Build strong working relationships across the business and work collaboratively with key stakeholders

    • Manage agencies and partners to deliver high-quality work to brief and on time

    • Present ideas and plans clearly to senior and board stakeholders, and keep projects and conversations moving at pace

    • Bring people with you and help maintain high standards across everything you work on

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Responsibility for developing and delivering marketing campaigns across Heart, Smooth, Global Player and the Podcast slate - making sure our work is strategically grounded, creatively strong and brilliantly delivered

  • Worked across the full marketing mix - from shaping strategy and media plans, to developing creative, managing delivery and looking after the brands day to day.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong experience in brand marketing, campaign development or a broad marketing role

  • Comfortable working across strategy, media and creative

  • A solid understanding of brand management and what it takes to build consistent, distinctive brands

  • Good creative instinct and a clear sense of what makes work cut through

  • Confident managing campaigns with lots of moving parts

  • Experience working with agencies and cross-functional teams

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Organised, detail-oriented and happy to get stuck in

  • Collaborative, proactive and comfortable working at pace
