Senior Marketing Database Specialist

General Description:

The Senior Marketing Database Specialist is responsible for maintaining the daily processing of the firm’s Marketing Database (InterAction) with a primary focus on maintaining the integrity of the database and Marketing related processes. This position has a visible impact on many marketing and client relationship initiatives throughout the firm by ensuring the accuracy of client and contact data.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure the overall quality of data by examining and processing contact data changes made by InterAction users, including Attorneys, Practice Assistants and other staff.  This includes the processing of DCM tickets, reviewing and promoting new contacts/possible duplicate contacts.
  • Ensure the overall quality of data by performing daily data quality control procedures, including review and approval of data change management requests, checking and merging duplicate contacts, standardizing data and ensuring that the necessary data fields are populated according to firm data standards.
  • Monitor the flow of data between InterAction, IQ, and other databases for accuracy and data quality.
  • Perform and educate InterAction data imports and exports related to Marketing related projects and mailings.
  • Provide InterAction project support and assist with developing best practices to ensure efficiency and improved work flow.
  • Provide coordination and implementation of data updating for auto-replies/bouncebacks received in the firm’s Event’s mailbox.
  • Perform and educate database queries to support firm marketing and business development efforts.
  • Produce and maintain InterAction reports on a standard and ad-hoc basis to further support our lawyer and marketing team members with their business needs.
  • Educate and support InterAction users and act as a CRM subject matter expert.
  • Develop and execute a strategy to work with the Marketing team regularly on all active marketing mailing lists to ensure thought leadership is reaching the intended audience.
  • Stay up to date on industry discussions regarding client relationship management (CRM); data privacy issues, new CRM related technologies and software upgrades that can increase or lead to CRM efficiencies.
  • Suggest ways to enhance the marketing database for increased usage on a proactive basis to support overall firm-wide marketing and business development efforts.
  • Perform QA testing related to any software upgrades/new technologies and work closely with the Marketing Database Manager and IT Department on all upgrades.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
