  • Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and Europe regional hub home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.

Your new team

This role sits within Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail (GTR) - one of the Group’s largest and most dynamic markets. GTR brings our brands to life across airports, border shops, airlines, cruises and key transit hubs worldwide. With colleagues in over 20 locations and more than 30 nationalities represented, our culture is global, diverse and fuelled by a shared passion for travel and creativity.

About the role

As Senior Marketing Activation Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of best-in-class brand activations across some of our most important GTR customers. Managing two direct reports, you will shape the annual regional activation strategy, localise global toolkits, negotiate marketing plans, increase visibility and deliver impactful omnichannel brand experiences across airports, cruises, airlines and distributors.

This is a pivotal role in how our brands show up across Europe and beyond - combining creativity, commercial partnership, shopper understanding and flawless execution.

Your unique contribution

This role will have three main areas of responsibility:

1. Deliver Activation Excellence

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of regional marketing plans, promotional activities and merchandising execution, ensuring brand consistency in every touchpoint.
  • Define annual brand promotional plans aligned to global and regional prioritisation and traveller trends
  • Evaluate and prioritise promotional packages using our investment framework
  • Identify new merchandising and visibility opportunities to keep our brands at the forefront of the category.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery—from briefing and creative development to technical drawings, production, installation and operational execution.
  • Lead permanent merchandising unit projects (wall bays, gondolas, shop-in-shops) across priority customers
  • Ensure all content and communication is compliant with local market requirements including translations and responsible drinking messaging
  • Provide content and assets for new products launches for online and offline channels
  • Support customers on ad hoc marketing requests across their owned retailer communication channels
  • Co-create omnichannel campaigns with customers and internal omnichannel teams, integrating in-store, digital, e-commerce and CRM touchpoints throughout the traveller journey

2. Partner with Stakeholders

  • Collaborate closely with Regional Sales Managers and Key Account Managers to co-build customer activation plans for launches and hero campaigns.
  • Develop strong relationships with European customer partners; translate agreements into Joint Business Plans and manage delivery throughout the year.
  • Support customer sell-in with compelling activation proposals and visibility storytelling
  • Work cross-functionally with Europe Regional Commercial, Customer Services, Supply Chain, Global Marketing Activation, Retail Excellence, Brand Teams, and Portfolio & Insights and other Regional Hubs across APAC and Americas

3. Reporting & Financial Management

  • Own customer-level A&P budgets, including PO management and monthly financial tracking.
  • Provide reporting and insights on campaign performance against KPIs for both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor depletion trends and share actionable insights with commercial teams
  • Assess visibility tools and campaign effectiveness to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies.

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you have:

  • 6–10 years’ experience in customer marketing, trade marketing or activation within Travel Retail, domestic off trade, FMCG, luxury or spirits.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Confidence in negotiating annual customer marketing agreements.
  • Expertise in POS production, retail design processes and flawless execution.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including budget management and reporting.
  • A dynamic, adaptable and proactive mindset, with excellent project leadership.
  • Curiosity, drive and the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe, Turkey, South Africa and cruise locations.
