Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to support the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) Operations team in San Antonio, TX !

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Level 2 for CERP Production Mod IPT
  • Direct the CERP staffing plan for aircraft inductions
  • Lead the Hot Start initiative within SAT
  • Track CERP action items to ensure timely resolution and closure
  • Integrate lessons learned into ongoing CERP activities
  • Implement Mod IPT plans, policies, and procedures and contribute to the development of Mod IPT business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Leads by demonstrating and holding all accountable to the Boeing Values and Behaviors
  • Leads, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers, in addition to maintaining CERP modification readiness
  • Implement Mod IPT plans, policies, and procedures and contribute to the development of Mod IPT business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Oversee and approve technical approaches, deliverables, and processes to execute CERP modification work with high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Provide oversight and responsibility for aircraft mod operations and personnel after induction
  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership, leading teams, initiatives and projects to meet business objectives and influence change
  • 5+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience in coaching, guiding and mentoring teams
  • 5+ years of experience in working to lead and develop teams to execute to safety, compliance, quality and cost
  • 5+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment
  • Ability to work any shift including weekends and overtime

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience within an Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience in leading large scale / organizational change
  • Boeing Problem Solving Model Experience

San Antonio, TX: $141,950 – $192,050
