Work Flexibility: Onsite
As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will support Instruments production by developing, evaluating, implementing, and sustaining manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes that ensure products are built to meet both quality and production targets on the manufacturing line. This is an onsite position in Kalamazoo, MI.
What You Will Do:
- Directly support a Stryker production line
- Drive efficiency and process flow enhancements, resulting in cost savings
- Evaluate blueprints for the processing of parts in order to ensure manufacturability
- Identify and manage cost reduction projects in support of goals
- Identify and implement ergonomic and safety improvements in the manufacturing environment
- Support new product development and ensure a smooth transition into operations
- Identify sources of waste in production and implements changes that drive cost, quality and delivery
- Partner with operations, materials, advanced operations, product engineering and other groups to solve manufacturing issues and drive customer satisfaction
- Be committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously researching ways to enhance performance
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar discipline
- 2+ years of related experience
- Sound problem solving skills
- Experience with manufacturing processes: Ultrasonic/laser welding, silicone injection molding, leak testing, packaging
- Experience with low volume but highly complex products, preferred
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry, preferred
- Experience with GD&T, preferred
- Continuous improvement/Lean/Six Sigma experience, preferred
