Position Summary　ポジション概要 

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer SPI is responsible for technical ownership, integration, and performance of manufacturing processes and quality controls executed at external toll manufacturing partners. This role ensures that Entegris safety, quality, yield, and reliability standards are fully implemented and sustained at the toll manufacturer, while driving continuous improvement and risk reduction across outsourced operations.

The position acts as the primary technical interface between Entegris and the toll manufacturer, providing process governance, troubleshooting leadership, and change control management to support stable supply for semiconductor manufacturing customers. 

エンテグリスと委託製造先との間の主要な技術窓口として機能し、安定した供給を実現するために、プロセス統制、トラブルシューティング、変更管理を担うことで、半導体製造顧客への安定した供給体制を支援します。 

Key Responsibilities　主な業務内容 

Toll Manufacturer Technical Ownership　委託製造における技術責任 

• Serve as the Entegris process owner for operations performed at the toll manufacturer, including raw materials, manufacturing equipment and process controls, and product quality testing. 

• Provide technical direction and decision‑making authority for process changes, deviations, and corrective actions at the toll site. 

• 原材料、製造設備、工程管理、品質試験を含む委託製造プロセスのプロセスオーナーとしての役割を担う 

• 委託先における工程変更、逸脱対応、是正処置に対して技術的な指示および意思決定を行う 

Safety, Quality, and Compliance　安全・品質の維持 

• Drive alignment to EHS standards at the toll manufacturer, including hazard reviews, process risk assessments, and safe work practices. 

• Own the FMEA, control plans, and risk mitigation actions for manufacturing  processes executed externally and lead out of control action responses. 

• Ensure toll manufacturing processes meet Entegris requirements for quality, product consistency, contamination control, yield, and reliability. 

• Support supplier and customer audits, ensuring readiness, effective closure of findings, and sustained compliance. 

• 委託先においてEHS（環境・安全・衛生）基準への適合を推進（ハザードレビュー、リスクアセスメント、安全作業の確立） 

• 外部製造プロセスに関するFMEA、コントロールプラン、リスク低減活動の責任を担い、異常時の対応をリード 

• 品質、製品の一貫性、コンタミネーション管理、歩留まり、信頼性に関してエンテグリス基準を満たすことを確保 

• サプライヤーおよび顧客監査に対応し、指摘事項の是正および継続的なコンプライアンスを確保 

Process Control & Continuous Improvement　工程管理および継続的改善 

• Monitor and analyze process capability, yield, scrap, excursion trends, and KPIs for toll-manufactured SPI operations. 

• Lead root cause investigations using RCA, 8D, 5‑Why, and Fishbone, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions. 

• Identify and support the execution of continuous improvement projects to reduce variation, improve throughput, increase yield, and lower total cost. 

• 委託製造における工程能力、歩留まり、スクラップ、異常傾向、KPIの監視・分析 

• RCA（根本原因分析）、8D、5Why、特性要因図などの手法を用いた問題解決の推進 

• ばらつき低減、生産性向上、歩留まり改善、コスト削減に向けた継続的改善活動の企画・実行 

Change Management & Integration　変更管理および統合 

• Own change control for processes at the toll manufacturer, including equipment changes, material changes, parameter updates, and scale‑up activities. 

• Ensure robust qualification and validation of process or equipment changes prior to release. 

• Maintain alignment between Entegris internal manufacturing standards and toll manufacturing execution. 

• 設備変更、材料変更、工程条件変更、スケールアップなどの変更管理を担当 

• 変更実施前に適切なバリデーションおよび適格性評価を確実に実施 

• 社内の製造基準と委託先の運用との整合性を維持 

Cross‑Functional & External Partnership　社内外連携 

• Work closely with Entegris Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Customer Quality teams to support business priorities. 

• Provide clear technical communication to toll manufacturer engineering and operations teams. 

• Escalate risks proactively and drive timely decisions to protect customer supply and Entegris reputation.

Documentation & Knowledge Management　文書管理およびナレッジマネジメント 

• Develop and maintain documentation including process flows, work instructions, control plans, PFMEAs, inspection criteria, and specifications. 

• Ensure accurate manufacturing master data (BOMs, routings, specs) relevant to toll production. 

• 工程フロー、作業標準書、コントロールプラン、PFMEA、検査基準、仕様書などの作成・管理 

• 委託製造に関わるマスターデータ（BOM、工程情報、仕様）の正確性を維持 

Required Qualifications　必須要件 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering, or related field. 

• Bilingual in Japanese and English 

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably supporting semiconductor or specialty chemical processes. 

• Demonstrated experience supporting external or contract manufacturing / toll manufacturing environments. 

• Strong background in process control, risk management, and structured problem solving. 

• Able to travel domestically in Japan up to 25% of the time 

• Proven ability to influence and lead without direct authority across company boundaries. 

• 機械、製造、化学、材料、工業工学など関連分野の学士号 

• 日本語および英語のバイリンガル 

• 製造またはプロセスエンジニアとして7年以上の経験（半導体または特殊化学分野歓迎） 

• 委託製造または外部製造環境のサポート経験 

• 工程管理、リスクマネジメント、問題解決スキル 

• 国内出張対応可能（最大25%） 

• 直接の指揮命令権がなくても関係者をリードできる能力 

Preferred Qualifications　歓迎要件 

• Experience with contamination‑sensitive processes (requiring part per billion control plans). 

• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, and FMEA methodologies. 

• Experience working with regulated manufacturing environments or hazardous materials. 

• Prior responsibility for supplier or toll manufacturer technical governance. 

• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) to perform deep-dive data mining, trend analysis, and proactive excursion prevention from various datasets.
