Introduction
GlobalFoundries is seeking a motivated cost accountant and analyst to join our organization. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing cost and inventory information within the corporation. You will also work across teams to present and translate important financial information and assist in company audits.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and records
Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
Review costs for inventory
Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings
Participate in period close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold
Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
Prepare documents and interpret financial information regarding cost improvements for managers, executives, and C-Suite executives
Maintain company accounting procedures and processes
Present cost estimates and budgets
Compile documentation on company production unit cost standards
Assist in audits and general ledger preparation
Other Responsibilities
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field
Min 4 years of previous accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
Strong financial analysis skills
Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
Experience with Oracle EBS suite
Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite including Power Bi, and knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Written and verbal fluency in English
