Manulife

Senior Managing Director, Capital Markets Group

Toronto, Ontario Full time

The Senior Managing Director is a senior leadership role responsible for advancing CMG’s strategic direction, driving business growth, and strengthening key internal and external client relationships. Working closely with the Head of CMG, the role will help develop, refine, and execute the group’s long-term strategy while leading initiatives across new issue origination (fixed income and equity), advisor-referred M&A, Project Summit, and the PAR note business.

This role will take a leading position in originating and managing relationships with Manulife Wealth advisors, targeted Manulife Financial colleagues, prospective issuers, and advisory clients. The Senior Managing Director will play a senior role in transaction execution across advisory M&A mandates and capital markets transactions, while also supporting the evaluation and creation of new Manulife-sponsored products.

The position includes leadership and mentorship within the CMG team, along with support for CMG finance functions (including monthly P&L confirmation), and the administration, oversight, risk management, and compliance responsibilities of the group. As a key member of the CMG executive team, the Senior Managing Director will actively contribute to broader CMG and Manulife priorities.

What this opportunity offers:

This role provides the opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing capital markets platform within Manulife Wealth.
