$155,100.00 - $258,700.00

The job

In addition, AVEVA seeks to develop physical and digital workplace strategies that future-proof our talent and enhance the ability of our colleagues to do their best work.

As the regional leader of our Americas Workplace Experience team of professionals in 3 countries with 4 offices, you’ll be responsible for all areas of the workplace, including workplace experience, services, facilities management, real estate lease management and fit-out and refurbishment projects, workplace health and safety, and workplace sustainability. In addition, AVEVA is reimagining how we work to support a hybrid work environment, and we are looking for an experienced leader to help take AVEVA’s workplace experience to the next level in the Americas.

You will report to the Global Director of Workplace Experience. As a regional leader, you will advise AVEVA’s executives and senior leaders in the region and key functional partners (People, Internal Communications, Finance, IT, Legal, Sustainability, Risk Management, Office Location Leads) to create an engaging and productive office experience for our employees.

You are an inspirational leader capable of building strong relationship networks, comfortable with outsourced service providers, and who can maneuver through competing priorities by applying rigorous attention to detail and follow-through without losing sight of overarching objectives.

 

Primary responsibilities

Oversee AVEVA’s office environments in the Americas with specific responsibility for workplace experience and facilities management, workplace health and safety, workplace sustainability, and office lease management. Manage and inspire the regional Workplace Experience team and external service providers, ensuring best practices, cost governance, and strategic alignment. Collaboratively progress the strategy, design, and implementation of the workplace experience and supporting real estate strategy to deliver a great workplace experience for AVEVA colleagues.

Deliver the mission of the function to “magnetize the workplace by delivering an amazing workplace experience that creates a space where people want to connect, reenergize, collaborate, and socialize.” 

  • Strategic management of offices and workplace experience activities in the Americas – including workplace management, hybrid working strategy enablement), facilities management and workplace health and safety
  • Member of the global Workplace Experience and Real Estate Leadership team providing strategic advice on issues, risks, and opportunities related to the function and overall People Experience
  • Overseeing global workplace health and safety and Emergency Response Planning
  • Lead on large projects and initiatives, with limited guidance from manager, and provide leadership and guidance to regional Workplace Experience team member 
  • Accountable for local and regional OpEx and CapEx budget preparation and managing to the approved budget. Excellent understanding of effective cost management, ensuring service delivery without impacting service levels – the ability to balance spend and service.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ successful years of progressive corporate experience and leadership roles managing workplaces (office facilities), experience programming and space design, corporate real estate lease management, workplace sustainability, health and safety, project/change management, and managing large projects of workplace design, construction, service delivery, and related technology in a multinational footprint
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or corporate real estate or equivalent experience
  • Currently reside within a commutable distance (50 miles) of San Leandro, CA or Lake Forest, CA as it's required to be in the office 3-4 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Excellent knowledge of facilities and project management with demonstrated experience running multi-site office operations
  • Strong relationship builder and consensus driver at all levels within a global organization; ability to engage and influence executive leadership and stakeholders to drive decision making
  • Ability to lead and manage a large geographically dispersed team, often remotely
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to mentor and build talent within an organization
  • Passion for creating inclusive environments and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Results-driven, with effective execution
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and financial analysis to enable data-driven recommendations
  • Data analytics skills to measure occupancy, utilization, and effectiveness of workplace programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing and managing communications and change management within projects
  • Agile thinker able to consider business problems in new ways and clarify issues in complex situations
  • Experience supporting projects to evaluate office locations, “stay vs. go” decisions, and delivering solutions across new leases, workplace design, procurement, project management, and fit out
  • Skilled in commercial negotiations with workplace-related service providers, landlords and brokers
  • Experience in merger and acquisition-related due diligence, and integration planning and delivery
  • Vendor management
  • Sound knowledge of built environment legal compliance
  • Emergency and disaster planning and management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to lead discussion and interactions successfully
  • Bilingual/multi-lingual desirable

Hybrid working
