We are seeking a Senior Network Security Manager and technology leader responsible for building, guiding, and scaling a high-performing team of network security engineers and architects who deliver secure, resilient, and scalable network security solutions. This leadership role goes beyond day-to-day network security engineering and operations—its core mission is to define and execute network security strategy, develop talent, enforce security standards and governance, and ensure consistent protection across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
This leader will collaborate extensively with business partners, product and engineering leaders, and cross‑functional teams to ensure architectural consistency, strategic alignment, and long‑term scalability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network security engineers and architects, ensuring clarity of roles, high performance, deep technical expertise, and continuous professional growth.
- Establish network security governance practices, standards, reference architectures, and operating models adopted across the enterprise.
- Provide coaching, feedback, goal setting, performance review and succession planning to build long-term network security capability.
- Foster a culture of security ownership, automation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Resource Planning, allocation and assignment of network security projects
2. Network Security Strategy & Architecture
- Define and own the enterprise network security strategy and architectural vision, aligned with business objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve high-level network security designs including perimeter security, segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust, SASE, cloud security networking, and secure connectivity patterns.
- Ensure security architectures are scalable, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise security principles and threat models.
- Drive adoption of Zero Trust and defense-in-depth principles across all network domains.
- Design R&D Lab and Manufacturing network as per industry best practices
3. Cross-Functional Influence & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary network security representative in discussions with business units, infrastructure, cloud, application, and security governance teams.
- Influence decisions impacting network exposure, segmentation, identity-based access, traffic inspection, and secure service connectivity.
- Facilitate and lead security design reviews, threat modeling sessions, and architectural sign-offs for major initiatives.
- Communicate security risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and executives.
4. Technical Leadership & Governance
- Guide teams through complex security decision-making, ensuring adherence to security standards, best practices, and architectural integrity.
- Oversee security design and technical reviews to ensure compliance with security, privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Drive identification, assessment, and mitigation of network security risks across portfolios, including third-party and vendor risks.
- Partner with GRC teams to support audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives.
5. Incident Response & Program Support
- Serve as a senior escalation point for critical network security incidents, investigations, and breach response activities.
- Partner with SOC, IR, and operations teams to improve detection, response, and containment capabilities.
- Ensure network security support across discovery, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-production phases.
- Align team capacity and skills with program priorities and evolving threat landscapes.
6. Security Enhancements & Continuous Improvement
- Continuously evaluate network security controls to identify gaps, reduce risk, and eliminate technical or operational debt.
- Promote reusable security patterns, standardized configurations, and automation practices.
- Monitor emerging threats, attack techniques, and security technologies to evolve security architecture and controls.
- Drive improvements in metrics such as MTTR, incident frequency, policy compliance, and control effectiveness.
7. Financials & Project Management
- Own end to end budgeting and financial governance for network and security programs, including annual OPEX/CAPEX planning and funding approvals.
- Manage renewals and vendor contracts, driving cost optimization and negotiating savings across all platforms and services.
- Lead project intake cost modeling, including resource costing, design/engineering estimates, and financial impact assessments.
- Approve and validate SOWs and funding requests, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and proper allocation of resources.
