Why This Role is Important:

As the Senior Manager, User Experience, you will lead our UX team and drive the strategic vision for user-centered design across all PC Financial digital products. This leader will champion the customer, ensuring our digital experiences are intuitive, engaging, and effective at meeting both user needs and business objectives. You will lead both the design and content teams in crafting unified experiences that delight and drive engagement.

What You’ll Do:

Leadership:

  • Develop and champion the overall UX strategy and vision for PC Financial's digital products, aligning with business goals and customer needs
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design, content strategy, and accessibility.
  • Evangelize the importance of UX and user-centered design across the organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX designers, UX researchers, and content designers.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and performance reviews.
  • Manage resource allocation and project timelines to ensure efficient and effective execution of UX initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate UX strategies, design concepts, and research findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on UX goals and priorities.
  • Present UX work to senior leadership, providing rationale and data to support design decisions.

Design & Content Excellence:

  • Oversee the creation of user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that meet user needs and business requirements.
  • Ensure consistent application of PC Financial's design system and brand guidelines across all digital touchpoints.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive content strategy, ensuring clear, concise, and engaging content across all digital channels.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to create cohesive and unified experiences.
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity in all design and content decisions.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to UX design, leveraging user research, usability testing, and analytics to inform design decisions.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of user research studies to gather insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
  • Analyze research findings and translate them into actionable recommendations for improving the user experience.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience as a designer on cross-functional teams releasing consumer experiences or enterprise products.
  • 2+ years managing and mentoring product design teams.
  • Expertise and experience in content design, as well as prior experience leading a content design team.
  • Portfolio showcasing beautiful, accessible, and scalable digital experiences.
  • Experience working in an agile environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to balance stakeholder needs and technical constraints in problem framing and solutioning.
  • Ability to use design to uncover questions, explore solutions, and define and measure success.
  • Demonstrated contribution to design practice and team culture.
