Senior Manager, US Vaccines Operational Enablement

The US Vaccines Franchise consists of a sizeable portfolio of innovative products that produce substantial public health impact by protecting millions of people every year from serious diseases such as meningitis, Covid, RSV and pneumococcal pneumonia.

The US Vaccines Operational Enablement (OE) Team plays a critical role within the Vaccines franchise, acting as the control tower for business leaders. The group will continuously deliver priority insights required for strategic decision making, lead/ support key commercial and cross-functional initiatives and coordinate critical enterprise and Vaccines franchise processes.

This position offers the opportunity to be part of a highly engaged, collaborative team with a demonstrated track record of preparing colleagues for promoted positions in marketing, sales leadership, director of operations, finance, and other commercial roles. We are looking for individuals who possess a combination of strategic & analytical thinking, project management, and US Vaccines business experience, to effectively aid in delivering on the franchise’s portfolio aspirations.

What You Will Achieve

This position will be an integral member of the Operational Enablement Team and will support the Vaccines Leadership Team and their teams on a broad range of strategic and operational priorities. Key responsibilities can include:

Vaccines Win Room Orchestration

  • Manage agendas and content for the Vaccines Win Room
  • Work with marketing and other cross-functional partners to help create a comprehensive view of vaccines portfolio contracting and pull-through performance. Collaborate with all involved teams (contracting, marketing, finance, contracting strategy, market access, operational enablement, legal, medical, etc.) to ensure the narrative brings the most recent insights, enabling LT to make agile and quick decisions, as needed.

Promotional Efficiency

  • Generate Insights: Work with the CMO partners to analyze and interpret data on marketing asset utilization to uncover opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track Implementation: Monitor enhancements to ensure that streamlining recommendations are effectively implemented at the champions and marketers’ level. This includes aligning marketing resource deployment to CFCs with franchise priorities, addressing top CFC requests, reducing waste, and ensuring that only resources with high levels of utilization are created.

Portfolio Performance Enablement

  • Identify Growth Opportunities & Shape Performance Narrative: Pinpoint areas for brand performance improvement and partner with brand stakeholders to share insights and influence the narrative for strategic decision-making.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with brand, sales, analytics, contracting, and field teams to share updated and actionable insights that inform decision-making for IDN and non-retail accounts.

Here Is What You Need

  • BA/BS Degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • 6+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting experience
  • Understands trends in vaccines customer and stakeholder landscapes, competitive dynamics, regulatory and access environments, delivery systems and channels
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong project management and coordination skills with cross-functional teams of diverse colleagues in multi-disciplinary positions
  • Documented ability to lead innovation and develop partnerships to build on business opportunities and organizational capabilities
  • Comfort with ambiguity and complex “white space” environments
  • Ability to influence without authority, setting business direction, priorities, and action plans
  • Ability to actively contribute to an environment that continuously embraces and encourages the implementation of innovative ideas and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization/dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau)

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,800.00 to $201,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
