Job Description Summary:
The Coca-Cola Company is seeking a forward-thinking and dynamic Senior Manager, U.S. Trade Risk and Governance to join our Global Trade & Sanctions Legal Team. This role has a primary U.S. trade compliance focus, while also supporting global trade risk assessment, audit management, and trade and sanctions policy governance. This role reports into the Senior Director, Legal Counsel — International Trade and Sanctions and offers a unique opportunity for a strategic team member to influence a world-renowned brand by advancing risk-based trade compliance frameworks and ensuring consistent application of trade requirements in a complex global environment.
As a key member of the Global Trade & Sanctions Team, you will play a critical role in strengthening the company’s license to operate and license to win in the U.S. and globally. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in U.S. trade laws and regulations and serve as a risk and controls leader — designing scalable trade compliance frameworks that anticipate regulatory change, withstand enforcement scrutiny, and support sustainable business growth.
This role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Technical, Innovation and Supply Chain (TI&SC), particularly Commercial Products Supply (CPS) and Procurement; Internal Audit; Government Affairs; International Operations (INTOPS); Human Rights; and other global business partners, to embed effective trade risk management across the enterprise. As a subject matter expert for U.S. trade matters, you will support import and export activities throughout the Coca-Cola System, emphasizing legal and operational risk mitigation and protection of the company’s reputation.

What You’ll Do for Us
Lead Trade Risk Assessment and Controls Oversight:
Design, execute, and continuously enhance risk-based trade compliance assessments across U.S. operations, including customs, sanctions, and tariff exposure.
Identify systemic risks, control gaps, and emerging regulatory vulnerabilities, and translate findings into remediation roadmaps.
Trade Audit Framework:
Develop and oversee a trade compliance audit and monitoring framework, including internal assessments, targeted reviews, and issue tracking.
Partner with Internal Audit to align trade compliance testing with audit plans, regulatory expectations, and enforcement trends.
Track remediation actions, validate closure, and report risk themes and trends to senior Legal and Compliance leadership.
Policy Development & Governance:
Lead the development, refresh, and governance of global trade and sanctions policies and playbooks, ensuring clarity, consistency, and usability across the Coca-Cola System.
Ensure policies reflect evolving U.S. and global regulatory requirements, enforcement priorities, and company risk appetite.
Establish policy governance processes, including interpretation guidance and periodic reviews.
Innovate Trade Compliance and Risk Management Processes:
Identify and implement technology solutions (e.g., compliance management software, data analytics, automation) to modernize and enhance U.S. and global trade compliance operations.
Leverage trade data and analytics to create predictive tools and dashboards that forecast U.S. and global trade compliance risks and provide actionable insights.
Collaborate and Serve as a Strategic Partner:
Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft and ensure alignment on the company’s position on U.S. and global trade policies or high-risk trade-related issues (e.g., regulatory changes, tariffs, classification, rules of origin).
Serve as the company’s key trade compliance expert for U.S. trade matters, providing strategic guidance to business leaders.
Train and Raise Awareness:
Develop targeted, risk-based training and communications focused on risk ownership, control effectiveness, and policy application.
Promote a strong culture of compliance by increasing awareness of trade risk, accountability, and escalation expectations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required Experience and Expertise:
Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) or advanced degree in International Trade, Business, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in U.S. trade compliance, risk management, audit, or compliance governance, preferably within a multinational organization.
Strong understanding of U.S. customs, trade, and sanctions frameworks from a risk and controls perspective.
Familiarity with trade compliance enforcement priorities and trends in U.S. government policies.
Experience designing or overseeing compliance risk assessments, audits, or control frameworks.
Proficiency in trade compliance technology and tools with innovative thinking.
Strategic and Analytical Competencies:
Strong strategic thinker with experience in proactively identifying compliance risks and developing forward-looking solutions.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to navigate complex regulatory challenges and develop scalable solutions that align with business strategy.

Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders, as well as external regulators and industry peers.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly and concisely, including to non-legal/non-compliance audiences.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams, driving alignment across diverse perspectives.

$141,400 - $166,700Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
