Senior Manager, Tax Operations
The Senior Manager, Tax Operations is a key leadership role that will work in a dynamic, fast-paced tax environment and will be responsible for the preparation and management of all U.S direct and indirect tax compliance. This role will also require oversight of international taxes and transfer pricing.
What you will do:
Lead and manage the federal and state income tax and indirect tax compliance across the U.S., including preparing workpapers, tax estimates, and coordinating and reviewing filings with external advisors
Oversee international income tax and VAT/GST compliance in conjunction with the International Tax Manager
Manage transfer pricing policies, documentation, and transfer pricing calculations
Coordinate transfer pricing settlements with Treasury to ensure intercompany payments and proper cash management
Drive the annual R&D tax credit study and collaborate with relevant teams to identify and pursue tax credit opportunities
Lead nexus studies and taxability analyses to determine filing obligations across jurisdictions
Support audits, notices, and controversy matters by preparing documentation, coordinating responses, and aligning on positions with internal stakeholders and advisors
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess impacts to compliance, reporting, and cash taxes
Advise on ad-hoc inquiries involving sales tax, withholding tax, and various tax filings
Design scalable process improvements and controls to automate and improve accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate with the broader finance, legal, and business operations organization to ensure seamless tax-related processes and reporting
What you will need:
10+ years of tax experience with a mix of public accounting and corporate tax roles
Extensive knowledge of Federal, State, Local and International tax compliance and U.S. GAAP
Experience with ASC 740 and international tax provisions
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-growth environment with a hands-on, solution focused mindset
Familiarity with tax automation tools and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Avalara)
Experience managing external advisors and audit processes
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA, JD, Master’s in Accounting, Master’s in Taxation, strongly preferred
