Are you a dynamic leader ready to drive operational excellence in a critical management role? We're seeking a dedicated Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing Supply Chain projects, with a focus on supplier delivery and ensuring continuity of future deliveries. This role plays a key part in supporting business objectives around predictable performance, resolving material enablement challenges, and improving supplier performance across the Safety and Cargo division within Interiors Supply Chain. As a visionary leader, you’ll serve as a liaison between commodity management, PMT business leaders, operations, planning, line management, site quality, supplier quality, contracts and engineering.

There is an onsite role and can be based out of Phoenix, AZ or Lenexa, KS and is eligible for relocation. Travel expectations would be approximately 30% but could fluctuate and can be short notice depending on the needs of the business.

What You Will Do

  • Operational Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to identify and create operational solutions that accomplish specific business objectives, driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with global suppliers to ensure the delivery of affordable, high-quality parts that meet dynamic customer needs, while developing mechanisms to manage and monitor operational part progress from kitting through shipment.
  • Process Optimization: Ensure business process outcomes align with the organization’s strategic goals by introducing innovative practices that enhance profitability and operational efficiency. This role will also focus on supporting our business objectives around predictable performance, solving material enablement challenges and improving overall supplier performance
  • Risk Management: Utilize risk management tools (FAI, PFMEA, MSA, etc.) to develop proactive strategies, lead root cause identification, and recommend corrective actions to eliminate product delivery issues.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with various partners, crafting clear communication and making timely decisions to positively influence the organization’s culture and achieve results.
  • Project Management: Manage and assist with process improvement projects, prioritize project work, and support the needs of the Core operating system through fact-based decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Travel and Flexibility: Travel expectation is approximately 30%, fluctuating based on business needs and can be short notice.

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master’s degree in supply chain management, business or a technical field.
  • Significant experience working with suppliers and ensuring delivery assurance.
  • Project Management experience
  • Prior Management experience
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with a variety of commodities, ideally within the aerospace industry.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
