What is the opportunity?

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Strategic Finance, to join the Houseful team, supporting all financial cycles, and working to build and improve processes to support scale. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role will focus on supporting leaders and stakeholders on a variety of finance-focused initiatives. As Houseful continues to grow, it is expected that the mandate of this role will continue to evolve. The successful candidate should thrive in an ever-changing and ambiguous environment.

What will you do?

  • Lead financial reporting, expense management (non-interest expenses) and ensure financial integrity of business operations
  • Run sensitivity analyses on KPI’s, levers and metrics most relevant to business operations
  • ROI analysis on marketing expenditure, initiatives and other projects
  • Update, maintenance, and development of internal financial models
  • Act as subject matter expert on financial direction of company, setting targets and conducting sensitivity analysis on relevant levers
  • Monitor, develop, report and assess, in conjunction with Director of Operations
  • Prepare monthly business reviews (MBR), quarterly business reviews (QBR) and other presentations and slides as required
  • Responsible for gathering and consolidating information and conducts complex data analysis with large datasets working to identify patterns, trends or insights
  • Explains actuals, variances and gaps in financial reporting and involved in forecast & plan preparations and presentations
  • Perform various ad-hoc analyses as required (e.g. scenario analysis, marketing ROI, etc.)

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • CPA, CFA designation or equivalent, with 5 to 8 years of experience working in strategic finance, FP&A, financial advisory, consulting or business analytics
  • Strong team and collaboration abilities, and ability to play a leadership role across a wide group of peers
  • Experience developing business cases, forecasts and models
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, experience delivering high-quality executive reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly draw insights from large datasets and financial information
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in a high-growth B2B/B2C SaaS environment (e.g. proptech), or a large financial institution
