Be part of a team enabling access to better healthcare at SteadyMD!

SteadyMD is a technology company and healthcare provider that powers high-quality telehealth experiences for its partners, including fast-growing digital healthcare companies, labs, pharmacies, large employers, and Fortune 100 companies like Amazon, AmerisourceBergen, and Abbott.  SteadyMD initially launched in two states: California and Missouri. By 2018, the company was licensed, operating, and providing care in all 50 states.  We’ve raised over $60 million in funding from top tier investors including Lux Capital, Pelion Ventures and AB Health Ventures.

We are currently seeking a strategic, data-driven Director of Workforce Optimization to lead forecasting, capacity planning, and workforce strategy across our growing telehealth operations. This role is ideal for an experienced leader who thrives at the intersection of analytics, operations, and healthcare delivery, and is passionate about building scalable workforce solutions in a fast-paced environment.

At SteadyMD, we value what diverse teams can accomplish together, and we honor each of our unique lived experiences. We look for a diverse pool of applicants, including those from historically marginalized groups, and we are committed to ensuring a safe work environment that is distinctly anti-discriminatory against any person. This is one of the reasons we are ranked #81 on Forbes’ America’s Best Startup Employers List. We know the value of building a team that encompasses a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and skills.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Licensing & Credentialing, Operations, HR, Recruiting, and Product/Technology teams.
  • Support hiring and onboarding strategies by aligning workforce plans with recruiting pipelines and ramp timelines.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing workforce optimization team, establishing best practices and operational rigor.
  • Lead strategic initiatives and special projects to support business growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in workforce management, operations, analytics, or related fields.
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams.
  • Deep expertise in forecasting, capacity planning, and scheduling in complex, high-volume environments.
  • Experience in healthcare, telehealth, contact centers, or similarly complex service operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Experience with workforce management tools (e.g., NICE, Verint, Aspect) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Experience leveraging modern tooling, automation, or advanced analytics to enhance workforce management outcomes.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in a high-growth or startup environment is preferred.
