Position Overview

Choice Properties is looking for a Senior Manager, Solutions Architect, to join our team! The Senior Manager, Solutions Architect, must be a self-starter, a strategic thinker, and have a great service-oriented attitude that will continue to encourage constant improvement of services and performance. Reporting to the Director, Engineering & Integration, this role ensures that business solutions are architected in a way that supports organizational integration standards, scalability, and long-term sustainability. You will partner closely with business stakeholders and the IT team to translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that integrate effectively across property management, leasing, development, finance, and corporate platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and own end-to-end data architecture solutions that align with enterprise integration, engineering, and data governance standards.
  • Architect scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake) to support reporting, analytics, and operational data needs.
  • Define and implement data architecture patterns including data ingestion, transformation (ETL/ELT), semantic modeling, real-time data streaming, and API-based data services.
  • Ensure interoperability and trusted data flows across ERP, property management, leasing, construction, CRM, and enterprise systems.
  • Establish and promote best practices for data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), master data management, and metadata management.
  • Partner with business and analytics teams to translate reporting and insight requirements into scalable data solutions and architecture roadmaps.
  • Identify cross-system data dependencies, quality risks, lineage considerations, and integration impacts, proactively mitigating architectural risks.
  • Ensure data solutions adhere to enterprise security, privacy, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including access controls and data protection standards.
  • Support acquisitions, system implementations, and transformation initiatives by leading data architecture, migration, and consolidation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and integration teams to ensure data pipelines are resilient, automated, observable, and aligned with enterprise integration patterns (API-led, event-driven).
  • Contribute to the evolution of enterprise data strategy, architecture governance, platform selection, and continuous improvement of data engineering practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in solution architecture, enterprise systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a senior or people leadership capacity.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong experience designing solutions across ERP and enterprise platforms (e.g., JDE, Yardi, MRI, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Strong experience with Data platforms such as Microsoft Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and SQL.  
  • Experience working in integrated, multi-system environments.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong proficiency in analyzing and resolving complex issues by applying experience, judgment, and established precedents to determine effective solutions.
  • Ability to work well with others and develop cooperative working relationships in a collaborative team environment, including leading and coaching junior team members.
