Our Technology Centers focus on creating a space where teams can come together to deliver business solutions that save and improve lives. An integral part of our company’s IT operating model, Tech Centers are globally distributed locations where each IT division has employees to enable our digital transformation journey and drive business outcomes. These locations, in addition to the other sites, are essential to supporting our business and strategy.

A focused group of leaders in each Tech Center helps to ensure we can manage and improve each location, from investing in growth, success, and well-being of our people, to making sure colleagues from each IT division feel a sense of belonging to managing critical emergencies. And together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centers.

Role Overview

Lead the design, build, and operation of SAP Commerce Cloud solutions powering our Human Health digital commerce experiences. Partner with SAP, integration, and product teams to deliver secure, performant, and resilient capabilities. Join us to advance innovative health solutions that prevent and treat diseases.

Design and deliver the E-Commerce sales process integrated architecture from SAP Commerce Cloud through SAP SD in ECC and soon with S4/HANA. Define how orders are captured, priced, simulated, and integrated (synchronously and asynchronously), partnering with Integration (BTP/CPI), OTC, and Supply Chain teams to deliver robust sales flows at scale. Our landscape includes SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP ECC and S/4HANA as part of our target architecture.

What will you do in this role

  • Own the B2B sales process architecture from web order capture through SD: order entry and document flow, designing integration patterns for synchronous validations (pricing/ATP simulations, credit/tax checks) and asynchronous order ingestion (IDoc/event-driven), including reconciliation, retries, and error handling in BTP/CPI.
  • Govern pricing and conditions mapping between Commerce and SD (condition techniques, access sequences, surcharges/discounts), ensuring one source of truth and accurate order confirmations.
  • Define and implement order simulations (price and availability/ATP) exposed to Commerce/OCC and internal channels; set SLAs for response times and throughput during peak loads.
  • Standardize order management scenarios (order change/cancel, partial shipments, backorders) and drive simplification toward SAP standard where feasible.
  • Partner across domains (OTC, Finance/Tax, GTS, 3PL/Logistics) to ensure compliance, tax, license, and export checks are consistently applied throughout the flow.
  • Roadmap and modernization: guide the shift from ECC to S/4 Sales capabilities for SAP Commerce Cloud integrated scenarios (e.g., advanced pricing/analytics, aATP), aligning with our OtC product roadmap.

What should you have

  • 8+ years in SAP SD/OtC solution customizations and enterprise architecture; 3+ years integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with ECC or S/4HANA via BTP/CPI.
  • Senior expertise in SD pricing (conditions, access sequences, requirements, condition records) and alignment with Commerce pricing/promotions and order confirmations.
  • Strong knowledge of order management processes (manual/API/EDI/eCommerce capture, changes/cancels, returns) and standardization trade-offs.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce→ERP improvements (order confirmations, shipment tracking, master data sync) and evolving Commerce↔ECC flows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across product, integration, Commerce/OTC/SD operations, and vendor teams.
  • Willingness to work in both projects and operations.
  • Pharma industry experience.

Our technology teams operate as business partners, proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. We collaborate internationally to deliver services and solutions that help everyone be more productive and enable innovation.
