Senior Manager, Sales (Hybrid)

This position provides leadership, coaching, oversight and direction to the sales staff to manage sales operation and financial targets. Demonstrates knowledge and experience with insurance products, coverage, contracts and pricing to ensure that the team effectively and accurately advises customers regarding their insurance needs.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. Candidates should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Phoenix, AZ 85034.

Position Compensation Range:

$99,000.00 - $167,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities
•Manage employees’ sales production against target plans.
•Accountable for driving yield improvements and optimization.  Provide leadership in navigating across organizational boundaries and across/within functional units, surfacing blockers to yield and actively drive optimization agenda.
•Develop employees’ sales and service techniques and skills through ongoing coaching sessions.
•Provide risk advisement to customers and generates sales for companies.
•Develop staff to ensure specialized internal product knowledge.
•Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and fostering trust, transparency, and inclusion. Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support on-going development.
•Lead with influence and expertise. Actively contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and supports organization mission, vision, values, policies, and practices.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
•Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
•Demonstrated experience building, leading and implementing customer-focused strategies, programs/initiatives, and/or consulting.
•Demonstrated experience building relationships with company leadership and various stakeholders in order to accomplish objectives aligned with a particular strategy.
•Demonstrated experience leading the management of large, complex programs or initiatives to successful realization of benefits.
•Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic business plans.
•Extensive knowledge and understanding of project, program, and initiative management principles, processes, methodologies, techniques, and tools.
•Solid knowledge and understanding of the business issues of the insurance industry and of the organization.
•Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
