Mercer is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Manager, Risk & Incidents. This role will be based in our Sydney, Adelaide or Melbourne office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Senior Manager, Risk & Incidents
We will count on you to:
Oversee the timely identification, investigation, and rectification of operational incidents in line with Marsh McLennan’s incident management policy, ensuring effective risk mitigation.
Manage the end-to-end incident workflow, including escalation, remediation planning, and reporting to regulators and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify control gaps and implement corrective actions to strengthen operational controls.
Support risk assessments for projects impacting Administration Operations, providing actionable recommendations to enhance risk mitigation strategies.
Lead, coach, and mentor the incident management team to drive continuous improvement and best practices in incident rectification.
What you need to have:
Proven experience in risk management, incident management, or operational risk roles, preferably within financial services or a large corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of incident management frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance (including Superannuation industry regulations such as the Corporations Act and SIS Act).
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage complex remediation projects and lead high-performing teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications in risk management or related fields are highly regarded.
