Mercer is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Manager, Risk & IncidentsThis role will be based in our Sydney, Adelaide or Melbourne office.  This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Senior Manager, Risk & Incidents

We will count on you to:

  • Oversee the timely identification, investigation, and rectification of operational incidents in line with Marsh McLennan’s incident management policy, ensuring effective risk mitigation.

  • Manage the end-to-end incident workflow, including escalation, remediation planning, and reporting to regulators and internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify control gaps and implement corrective actions to strengthen operational controls.

  • Support risk assessments for projects impacting Administration Operations, providing actionable recommendations to enhance risk mitigation strategies.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the incident management team to drive continuous improvement and best practices in incident rectification.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience in risk management, incident management, or operational risk roles, preferably within financial services or a large corporate environment.

  • Strong knowledge of incident management frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance (including Superannuation industry regulations such as the Corporations Act and SIS Act).

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage complex remediation projects and lead high-performing teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications in risk management or related fields are highly regarded.
