The Senior Manager of Catering Operations reports directly to the Vice President of Airports Experience and oversees both domestic and international airline catering. This role provides primary leadership for the Inflight Catering Operations team, managing daily catering activities and executing strategies with business partners and financial planning in catering and provisioning. Strong leadership, a focus on safety, and a commitment to innovation for reliable and accurate performance are essential. The position requires building effective relationships with a geographically dispersed team, including Catering Business Partners, equipment suppliers, Technical Operations, Airport Operations, Inflight Service, and regulatory bodies. Key responsibilities also include managing asset inventories and allocating resources efficiently to protect Breeze Airways’ financial interests, all while ensuring an outstanding onboard customer experience.

Here's what you'll do

  • Establishes and maintains standards, processes, and metrics for safe, efficient Catering/provisioning Operations aligned with Guest Experience goals.
  • Oversees performance audits and drives continuous improvement and automation across all locations.
  • Manages ordering, budgeting, and design of galley equipment and workspace requirements for aircraft.
  • Facilitates transparent communication and engagement opportunities for Inflight Crewmembers regarding catering functions.
  • Collaborates across divisions (IT, Airports, Customer Support, etc.) to enhance operations, guest experience, and financial efficiency.
  • Partners with Product/marketing to direct onboard service strategy, standards, and ancillary revenue programs.
  • Builds and develops the Catering/provisioning Operations team for daily management, business partner effectiveness, and career growth.
  • Develops long-term strategies for sustainable operations, partner accountability, and prepares for future expansion.
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed.

Here's what you'll need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Commercial, Airlines Provisioning, Ground Operations, Catering, or a related operational discipline.
  • 6+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong operational acumen with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
  • Deep knowledge of catering operations, food handling, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to independently drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information to senior leadership.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%).
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs or emergencies on short notice.
  • Must pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986..

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of a Flight Attendant’s role and daily job duties
  • Broad knowledge of multiple airline operational disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience driving innovation within an operation.
  • Experience in airline product development or onboard experience design.
