The Senior Manager, Project Management is a senior leadership role accountable for people leadership, delivery excellence, and the continuous evolution of the Project Management discipline. The role combines line management of experienced Project Managers, active ownership of the firm’s most complex initiatives, and location leadership for the Krakow PM population.

Key Accountabilities

1. People Leadership & Capability Development

• Manage and coach 6–8 senior Project Managers (typically 10–15 years’ experience)
• Provide structured coaching on delivery leadership, stakeholder management, financial control, and decision-making
• Set clear performance expectations aligned to enterprise PM standards
• Identify skill gaps and partner on development plans
• Foster a culture of accountability and ownership
 

2. Project & Resource Management

• Support project and pod staffing decisions to ensure optimal resource utilization
• Balance demand and capacity, identifying delivery risks and bottlenecks
• Act as escalation point for prioritization and delivery conflicts
• Support hiring, onboarding, and succession planning
 

3. Delivery Ownership (Hands-On PM Role)

• Act as Lead Project Manager for the most complex and high-risk initiatives
• Own project planning, governance, financial management, risk, and stakeholder communication
• Model best-in-class PM execution and artifacts
 

4. PM Discipline & Practice Development

• Improve and scale PM standards, practices, and artifacts
• Partner on governance, reporting, and lifecycle improvements
• Drive simplification and standardization while maintaining rigor
 

5. Location Leadership – Krakow

• Provide leadership for the Krakow PM population
• Act as direct line manager and coach for local PMs
• Build a strong local PM community aligned to global standards
 

Core Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of Project / Program Management experience
• Experience managing senior, highly experienced Project Managers
• Strong background in financial management and delivery governance
• Proven people leadership, conflict resolution, and executive communication skills
 

Success Measures

• Improved delivery consistency and predictability
• Increased maturity of PM practices
• Strong engagement and retention of PM talent
• Successful execution of complex initiatives
