Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Professional Standards drives consistent, sustainable improvements in pharmacy and front store performance across compliance, patient safety, and quality of care. This role partners closely with Division Vice Presidents and field leadership to identify risk, set priorities, and execute improvement strategies. The impact of this role is reduced regulatory and operational risk while maintaining high standards of care for patients and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a specialized team focused on pharmacy compliance, patient safety, clinical quality, practice standards, and front store compliance

  • Partner with Division Vice Presidents to assess risk, identify opportunities, and define division specific strategies and road maps

  • Support Region Directors and District Leaders with execution of approved action plans

  • Design and oversee programs that reduce regulatory, fiduciary, and reputational risk

  • Represent the company with regulators, professional organizations, and industry groups as needed

Reporting relationship: Member of the Pharmacy Professional Services leadership team and Store Operations leadership team
Travel requirement: 10 to 20 percent

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Pharmacist license

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD

  • 8 or more years of experience directly leading teams

  • 8 or more years of experience using business data to define needs, interpret results, and guide decisions

  • 8 or more years of experience developing and executing programs

  • 5 or more years of experience as a Pharmacy Supervisor, District Leader, or similar field leadership role in a community pharmacy setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree

  • 10 or more years of experience in a strategy or consulting role

  • 10 or more years of experience directly leading teams

  • Expert knowledge of pharmacy regulations and professional practice standards

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy and front store operations, workflows, and standard procedures

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leaders

Education

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$128,750.00 - $261,000.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
