The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Manager - Production Systems Training Delivery to join the team in either Berkeley, MO; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; New Orleans, LA; or Ridley Park, PA.
The selected candidate will be a strategic leader, leading Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Production Systems Training (PST) Delivery team across the US. The leader is responsible for establishing a BDS holistic training delivery strategy and executing. The PST Delivery leader will partner across the enterprise PST and BDS PST organization to deliver critical projects, upskilling/advance, and recertification training that is critical for the production system.
The successful candidates will:
Lead and grow the Production Systems Training team within Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) to deliver scalable, effective training solutions that ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production across defense and aerospace programs
Own the strategy, design, deployment, continuous improvement, and performance of training for production systems, production tooling, manufacturing processes, and associated digital systems (e.g., PLM, MRP, MES)
Serve as a senior leader and cross-functional partner with operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and digital transformation teams to align workforce capability with program requirements and business objectives
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the vision and multi-year strategy for production systems training aligned to BDS PST operational goals, safety, and compliance
Lead a team of training professionals (instructional designers/trainers, training coordinators, SMEs) to design and deliver instructor-led, blended, and eLearning solutions
Drive standardized curricula and competency models for production roles; map training to job tasks, certifications, and proficiency levels
Oversee training needs analysis, lifecycle development (ADDIE/Agile methods), assessment, validation in the production environment, and training effectiveness measurement
Partner with program management, manufacturing engineering, and quality to integrate training with process changes, new platform introductions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Establish metrics and KPIs (e.g., time-to-proficiency, first-time quality, safety incidents, training compliance) and report program performance to senior leadership
Control training budgets, staffing plans, and supplier relationships, including vendors for technical content and simulation/training aids
Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports; build high-performing teams and succession plans
Ensure training meets regulatory and contractual requirements (ITAR, export controls, DFARS, safety regulations) and supports security and program confidentiality
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing
5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
5+ years of experience developing/implementing strategic plans
Willing to travel domestically as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience in space/military aerospace fabrication, manufacturing, flight line or flight test operations
Experience with learning systems
Experience deploying employee engagement strategies
