Location Overview 

Cboe HQ is located in the historic Old Post Office district, it’s a landmark that blends classic architecture with modern amenities. The building features expansive spaces with high ceilings and large windows, offering an abundance of natural light and panoramic views of the city skyline and the Chicago River. 

 

With its prime location in the heart of downtown, the OPO Building provides easy access to major transportation hubs, including Union Station and multiple CTA lines, making it convenient for commuters. Role Overview 

The Sr Manager, Product Management, will be an integral member of the Clearing Product Management team within the Cboe Clear U.S. business unit. This role requires a strong technical background in the technologies utilized by central counterparties (CCPs) and is responsible for driving the scope, planning, and execution of the product roadmap.  

 

The Sr Manager, Product Management is responsible for overseeing the roadmap, managing the backlog, guiding technical decisions, and setting work priorities. Collaboration across the organization enables the Product Management team to deliver releases that are timely, transparent, iterative, and aligned with business needs. The preferred candidate should possess strong skills in product strategy, stakeholder management, and a commitment to operational excellence. 

 

The role will report to the Director of Product Management. 

 

Key responsibilities will be: 

 

 

Product Development & Delivery Oversight  

  • Translate business initiatives and complex regulatory requirements into actionable deliverables for Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, and Operations teams 

  • Drive prioritization of platform features and enhancements based on strategic fit, business impact, and resource allocation 

  • Oversee planning and execution of product releases, ensuring alignment across technical and business stakeholders 

  • Lead Quality Assurance strategy and execution, ensuring rigorous testing and validation across all releases   

  • Monitor release performance and proactively resolve delivery risks and operational issues  

Cross-Functional Collaborationand Leadership 

  • Serve as a strategic bridge across departments to ensure cohesive product delivery and stakeholder alignment  

  • Facilitate cross-team decision-making and conflict resolution to maintain momentum and scope clarity  

  • Provide strategic support to internal teams including clearing operations, infrastructure, risk, and member onboarding  

  • Guide and advise on new product initiatives providing subject matter expertise support to fellow product colleagues and participating exchanges on product implementation, intermediation design, and overall product design effectiveness 

  • Recognize mentorship moments to translate deep subject matter expertise for staff  

Client & Vendor Engagement 

  • Engage Clearing Member Firms and Participating Exchanges to gather operational insights, manage product pain points and roadmap expectations 

  • Oversee middleware onboarding and education for new product integrations and services, ensuring smooth adoption  

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure alignment with platform changes and delivery timelines  

 

 

 

The ideal candidate has: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher 

  • 10+ years' experience in business analysis or product management role, preferably at a Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), Exchange, Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), Broker-Dealer, or Bank 

  • Proven ability to work autonomously, owning projects from conception to completion 

  • Strong analytical skills, release planning and prioritizing with a can-do attitude 

  • A solid understanding of the product management landscape and the ability to translate business strategy initiatives into written product requirements and acceptance criteria 

  • Strong team player who works well with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment  

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to maintain a broad perspective while remaining attentive to essential details 

 

You'll really stand out with: 

  • Deep expertise of clearing/middle office platforms: FIS, ION, and ATEO 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of CFTC Part 39 requirements and clearing house rules 

  • Experience with spot cryptocurrency markets and tokenization technologies, including design and implementation solutions 

  • Skilled in defining requirements and deploying binary outcome event contracts within regulated environments 

  • Proven experience in Agile and the software development lifecycle 

  • Proficient in leveraging the Atlassian software suite (including Jira and Confluence) for project management and collaboration, with working knowledge of Python for automation and data analysis

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $131,750-$162,750. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:


 

US Geographic Differentials:

  • 110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA 

  • 115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA 

  • 120%: Boston MA, Washington DC 

  • 125%: New York City NY  

  • 130%: San Francisco CA 


 

Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
