Senior Manager, Product Management

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Medical Coding team in Chennai, India, as a hybrid role. This position involves owning 1-2 OKRs at the zone level, creating product vision, strategy, and roadmap while partnering closely with engineering, design, analytics, clinical coding SMEs, and Operations to deliver measurable outcomes in coding automation, accuracy, and throughput. The successful candidate will translate customer and stakeholder needs into prioritized backlogs, define acceptance criteria and quality thresholds, and ensure releases achieve compliance, auditability, and business impact. This role reports to the Product Management Director.

Team summary: The effectiveness of medical coding directly influences clinical documentation accuracy, operational efficiency, revenue cycle optimization, and regulatory compliance across healthcare organizations.

Inaccurate or inefficient coding processes can lead to claim denials, delayed reimbursements, and compliance risks, impacting both patient care and financial outcomes. As healthcare increasingly leverages technology to streamline coding workflows, the development and enhancement of automated coding solutions are mission critical. This role drives innovation to ensure coding automation tools deliver precise, scalable, and compliant coding, empowering providers, payers, and revenue cycle teams to operate with greater accuracy and speed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute product strategy for medical coding automation solutions, aligning with organizational goals and customer needs

• Define and prioritize product roadmap based on market analysis, customer feedback, and business objectives • Collaborate with engineering, design, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality coding automation features

• Partner with clinical coding SMEs and Operations teams to ensure product solutions meet industry standards and compliance requirements

• Analyze coding accuracy metrics, throughput data, and automation performance to drive continuous improvement

• Create detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams • Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle from concept to launch

Additional Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities for product differentiation

• Present product vision and updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders • Mentor junior product team members and contribute to product management best practices

• Participate in customer meetings to gather feedback and validate product direction

• Support go-to-market strategies and product adoption initiatives

Expected Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field required

• 12 to 16 years of experience in product management, preferably in healthcare technology or medical coding

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex requirements into actionable product features

• Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools

• Understanding of medical coding processes, revenue cycle management, and healthcare compliance preferred

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
