Position Overview

Manages procurement, production planning, and inventory control required to fulfill the group’s production and marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Selects suppliers and negotiates purchase agreements and supply contracts to meet quality control, regulatory compliance and inventory management objectives. 
  • Develops specific purchasing strategies for key materials and/or suppliers to ensure the accomplishment of the group’s business and profit goals.
  • Develops and maintains production and inventory plans and collaborates with sales and marketing to analyze sales trends and forecasts to optimize customer service and inventory levels.
  • Directs production scheduling to optimize plant efficiency, meet customer service requirements and maximize inventory turns.
  • Evaluates capabilities of potential co-producers and negotiates pricing and terms for contract production to meet the group’s requirements.
  • Collaborates with operations and supply chain management to optimize inventory levels.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • 7-10 years’ relevant experience required
