Position: (Senior) Manager, Pricing and Pipeline Access, ON
Location: Shanghai, China
Your opportunity:
- Lead the development and execution of the early market access readiness strategy for pipeline assets, ensuring timely integration of commercial strategy and business plan. Key responsibilities include:
Develop pipeline pricing and collaborating on clinical trial investment decisions recommendations
Serving as the primary contact for the access team, ensuring access considerations are integrated into key pipeline decisions (e.g., label) in collaboration with Registration, Commercial, and PD/Medical teams to maximize product and patient value post-launch.
Ensuring early access strategy readiness for pipelines to maximize value of the pipeline assets after launch. This involves product briefing, access profiling based on assessing potential access barriers and opportunities in the China market, and horizon scanning for policy changes and emerging payer trends, and reimbursement value positions draft readiness for strategic pipelines before approval.
Liaison with China PD, regulatory, and launch squad to ensure access needs after launch is effectively reflected in development and regulatory decisions, including label descriptions, and key commercial messages and initiatives aligned with reimbursement and access value positions especially during launching stage
- Lead the preparation and execution of the China pricing strategy for assigned TA, through out the product life cycle. This includes:
Ensuring product pricing readiness and execution, covering launch price, national reimbursement, VBP at the late stage and other relevant pricing initiatives. This includes developing and implementing comprehensive short-term and long-term pricing strategies.
Supporting the organization and planning of Roche China Pricing Committee (PC) meetings for reviewing critical pricing decisions.
Coordinating and leading the cross functional team to review China pricing strategy with the global team.
Making sure that the China product pricing is effectively integrated into business plan
- Establish and maintain robust communication channels with global access, to represent China's needs and influence the global team for critical access decisions.
Who you are:
Education/Qualifications教育程度/所获资格证书
Bachelor’s degree in applied scientific disciplines including but not limited to business administration, economics, finance, health policy, health economics, pharmacy administration or other relevant qualifications; advanced degree strongly preferred ( MBA, MS, MIF, etc)

Demonstrated communication and collaborative abilities at all levels within an organization, keep highly strategic agility in accordance with Roche Core Competencies

Six-year plus in positions of increasing responsibility and experience in strategic and operational pricing, reimbursement, or financing in pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostics, or commensurate experience in related healthcare industries or relevant consultancy companies
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing product-specific pricing strategies and relevant market access strategies including reimbursement, hospital, and channel planning preferred
Knowledge of China pricing and access environment at national, provincial, and local levels including public, private, and commercial dynamics preferred
Knowledge of pricing and financing practices in different areas of the world desirable
Knowledge of value-based pricing research tools, methodologies, and analytics
Knowledge of HTA/HEOR
Strategic mindset, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, and the ability to balance short and long term priorities
Demonstrated capabilities with a record of leading cross functional initiatives
Ability to build strong cross-functional, regional, and global partnerships
Ability to work well in matrix environment and independently
Excellent oral and written skills; strong presentation and communication skills
Cross-country, regional, and global experience desirable
Fluency in Chinese and English, additional language desirable
