This leader will manage a team of individual contributors who are driving optimization and continuous improvement initiatives in support of some of the most complex HPS challenges.  This impactful role provides strategic direction, technical expertise, and operational execution. The Senior manager is responsible for enabling the HPS team to drive rigor and excellence in efforts that will define a frame to modernize the way the team works. This will create a source of truth for key information, leading strategic pan-HPS programs and automating repeatable business processes. ​They drive the effort of ensuring Business requirements are aligned, understood and acted upon.​

This role requires executive presence, comfort with ambiguity, collaboration across functions and at all levels, and an ability to assess and mitigate business risks.   This position plays a crucial role in driving HPS wide operational improvements and enabling the HPS strategy.  As a trusted partner to senior leadership on a wide range of matters, they drive operational excellence and alignment.

The team’s focus is to define, implement and use a common business architecture, standardized execution model, and optimization engine that connects strategy, requirements, processes, data, and technology to measurable outcomes. This team is both an execution engine and a transformation accelerator across the different business models for HPS.

Focus Areas:

  • Optimization & Continuous Improvement Engine.  Lead systematic process optimization, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices, balancing short‑term stabilization with long‑term transformation.
  • Standardization, Governance & Execution Model.  Establish standardized processes, methodologies, and governance models that enable scalable delivery, PMO‑level rigor, and clear accountability across initiatives.
  • Data, Measurement & Source of Truth.  Drive operational insights through dashboards, KPIs, and control reports that provide transparency, measure success, and support executive decision‑making.
  • Business Requirement Enablement & Portfolio Alignment.  Act as the central HPS function for facilitating, structuring, and prioritizing business requirements, translating them into actionable roadmaps aligned to strategy, investment, and timelines.
  • Technology Enablement & Automation at Scale.  Ensure automation and workflow optimization are repeatable, future‑state‑driven capabilities aligned to the target business architecture.
  • Enterprise Business Architecture Leadership Define and evolve the business architecture framework, domains, standards, and artifacts to ensure clarity, alignment, and end‑to‑end executability across HPS business models.
  • Agility: Centralized pan-HPS program management function with sense of urgency to drive meaningful customer outcomes​

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior and executive leadership, influencing policies, long‑term goals, and transformation priorities.
  • Own and evolve the Business Architecture & Optimization vision, framework, and operating model across HPS. Including communication and standardization of templates to drive alignment.
  • Apply expert subject matter knowledge to shape knowledge base across businesses, functions, or regions, and provide strong leadership in driving change initiatives and monitoring performance goals.
  • Partner with leadership on financial and operational reviews, identifying variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate strategy into clear architectural roadmaps, supported by standard artifacts, governance, and delivery mechanisms.
  • Ensure all business requirements are aligned, facilitated, prioritized, and executable within approved strategic and LTP boundaries.
  • Establish and maintain single sources of truth for operational performance, progress tracking, and decision support.
  • Drive operations insights that help measure success and communicate progress.
  • Make automation a repeatable process, ensuring we drive automation practice focused on delivering solutions based on future business architecture. ​
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of business metrics related to both products and services while also developing recovery plans to address any exceptional issues.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing, multidisciplinary team, drive talent development, coaching, and succession planning
  • Held accountable for delivering outcomes: attainment of organizational goals/performance and contractual commitments, encompassing aspects such as budget, cost, service availability, responses, and reports.

Education and Experience Required

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, ML/AI, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate with work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in service business management, delivery, solution architecting, business planning, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP, Agile, PROSCI, ITIL highly beneficial

Knowledge & Skills

  • Deep expertise in business architecture, operating models, and transformation execution.
  • Strong leadership in ambiguity, executive communication, and cross‑functional influence.
  • Advanced understanding of process optimization, data analytics, automation, and governance.
  • Proven experience leading teams and enterprise‑scale initiatives in complex service or solution environments.
  • End-to-End business model understanding of the services portfolio, IT technology, Go to Market strategy, data and Key performance indicators.
  • Portfolio and product management knowledge is desired.
