Leadership
- Support end-to-end country / region operations for sourcing, product development and production.
- Support day-to-day activities for other office functions. (e.g., Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Compliance, and general office functions).
- Work very closely and build strong relationships with Sourcing HQ leaders ensuring that the country objectives and local team performance are in line with the Carter’s Global Sourcing strategy roadmap.
- Facilitate communication and business updates from Bangladesh operations directly to Sourcing HQ. Provide up-to-date regional and country business intel updates.
- Help local team anticipate potential issues and help them proactively provide solutions to stakeholders and leadership.
- Analyze the financial and operational data to support cost optimization. Identify trends and effectively interpret and present findings and insights to colleagues and the leadership team.
- Model company culture and values.
Vendor Relationships
- Assist Sourcing LT with long-term sourcing strategy and risk mitigation plans for South Asia region and develop deep strategic relationships with regional vendors.
- Support sourcing new regional vendors, including Fabric and Trim Suppliers while considering various criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, compliance with company standards, and alignment with Carter's strategy.
- Meet Quality/Pricing Standards, production capacity levels, compliance matters, etc.
- Support capacity and problem resolution negotiations with vendors and suppliers.
Develop an effective team
- Support Sourcing HQ leaders to identify high potential employees and develop succession plans.
- Identify team development areas. Work closely with Sourcing HQ leaders to support coaching and development of the local team.
- Inspire the local team and support their career development.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to local team and Sourcing HQ.
- Assist the team to work directly with cross-functional partners embracing the ONE team CGS mentality.
- Manage multiple direct reports and ensure quarterly and annual spend meets budget expectations for the managed brands/SBUs
- Develop continuous improvement solutions and manages resources & implementations on-time and within budget parameters.
