The Senior Manager, Mental Health Services is responsible for overseeing the strategic and day-to day operations of Peer Support, ACT/FACT teams and Family Based Services to provide the highest level of clinical community-based care. This includes financial oversight, development of department goals, regulatory compliance, quality control, staff performance and business growth.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of the assigned department, clinical and administrative.
  • Lead the implementation of ACT/FACT services based on evidence-based practices and TMACT fidelity standards.
  • Oversees Family Based Services operations, ensuring alignment with community needs and regulatory expectations.
  • Provides operational supervision to clinical managers across the teams.
  • Serves as a liaison between staff, management and Network entities, including but not limited to Human Resources functions such as recruiting, employee relations, leave of absence requests, etc.
  • Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.
  • Participates in the development of short-and long-term goals and objectives for the department.
  • Manages and ensures compliance with performance review program for staff and assures staff competencies.
  • Ensure ACT/FACT programs meet Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare requirements and Commonwealth licensure standards.
  • Maintain compliance with Magellan, OMHSAS, and internal policies for Family Based Services.
  • Assists in development and implementation of all internal policies, procedures and systems that are necessary for providing comprehensive services to clients.
  • Maintains proper billing procedures.
  • Maintains and improves quality and efficiency of the department.
  • Evaluates staff feedback/concerns and facilitates the process for improvement.
  • Assures that program achieves full licensure or accreditation status, as well as receives satisfactory performance reviews on external audits by oversight bodies, if applicable.
  • Maintains client caseload, if applicable.
  • Collaborates with outside of Network regulatory agencies as applicable and ensures compliance with all regulations pertaining to all areas of business and clinical practice.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrates/models the Network’s PCRAFT values during interactions with all customers.
  • Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.
  • Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.
  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
  • Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Standing and walking six hours per day, up to two hours sitting at a time. Frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequently uses hands. Occasionally uses upper extremities to lift up to 20 pounds; sometimes heavier. Very often stoops, bends and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony.

EDUCATION:

A master’s degree in the human services field.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Supervisor (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) may be required depending upon the assigned department.
