Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy and Planning

Reporting directly to Senior Director, Marketing Strategy and Planning, this role acts as a key strategy and planning partner to Marketing leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders. The role offers end‑to‑end ownership of strategic initiatives — from problem definition and analysis through to execution tracking and performance impact, with regular exposure to senior stakeholders across Marketing and the wider business.

The Senior Manager will contribute to the development of customer and marketing strategies, lead strategic projects, support annual planning and budgeting processes and track performance against strategic and financial objectives, with a focus on core customer and distributor journeys. The role requires structured thinking, strategic mindset and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

Support development and strategic initiatives

  • Develop strategic roadmaps aligned to business priorities and customer outcomes

  • Lead structured problem‑solving on customer and marketing topics

  • Lead assigned strategic initiatives and projects, ensuring clear problem definition, structured analysis, and actionable recommendations

  • Support localization and implementation of local and regional marketing programs & mandates, ensuring clear translation into local action plans

Drive strategic & business planning and performance management

  • Support the annual planning and budgeting process

  • Develop clear, decision‑ready business cases, analyses and work plan for strategic initiatives

  • Track performance, process, identify insights and risks, and support discussions with stakeholders

  • Design and maintain performance tracking, strategic review cadences and communications to ensure transparency and alignment across marketing and the organization

  • Partner closely with Finance to monitor key strategic and financial results, including spend effectiveness and forecasts

Stakeholder collaboration and ways of working

  • Work closely with Marketing functions and key partners across the organization on strategic initiatives

  • Act as a trusted thought partner to senior Marketing leaders by providing structured insights, fact‑based recommendations and clear storytelling

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate planning, or marketing strategy

  • Prior experience in insurance or broader financial services preferred

  • Fluency in English and Cantonese required; Mandarin an advantage

  • Strong structured problem‑solving and analytical capability, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and decision-making skills

  • Solid business acumen and understanding of commercial drivers in an insurance or financial services context

  • Proven experience supporting strategy formulation, business planning, or transformation initiatives

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working across functions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive‑level presentations

  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines

  • Proactive, self‑driven, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast‑changing environment
