Role Overview:
The Senior Manager, Marketing Engagement & Content will lead the execution of a strategic engagement and content plan designed to support the growth ambitions of the PokerStars SEU business. Responsible for the management of organic social, content, PR, and blogs for France, Spain, and Portugal, the role will oversee the growth of our core entertainment channels. 

Leading a social media and blog team, and working closely with supporting agencies and wider Paid Media and Creative teams, the Senior Manager, Marketing Engagement & Content will play a key role within the SEU team. From implementing an ambitious strategy to grow, engage, and retain our core poker and casino communities, to generating fame for the PokerStars brand through innovative and entertaining content, this is a broad role encompassing many responsibilities. 

 

What you’ll do: 
Operating in restricted markets but with ambitious growth targets, engagement, content, and PR represent particularly exciting opportunity areas within PokerStars SEU Marketing. Having recently introduced a Hero, Hub & Hygiene model to our content strategy, we are looking for an experienced, ambitious, and self-driven individual to take our engagement channels to the next level.

Working closely with an experienced Production team in Spain, you will identify growth levers across our poker organic social channels that attract adjacent audiences while not alienating our core and loyal community. In Casino, you will assist with the development of a longer-term strategy to grow awareness of our product and the breadth of our offering. 

By introducing clear and ambitious objectives and KPIs for the team, you will lead a culture of test-and-learn, supported by robust measurement and reporting. In PR, you will assist with developing a new strategy and lead the pitch for PR agency support in our markets, helping PokerStars to leverage its key assets - including Live Events and Online Series—through strong media relationships. The role will also oversee our existing Poker, Casino, and Sports blog channels.  

Our engagement channels also represent an opportunity to reinforce and drive awareness of our market-specific brand positions. Working closely with the SEU Creative team, the SEU Engagement team will help integrate and reinforce our brand assets through our tone of voice and content. This role will lead and nurture a team, helping individuals develop their skills and experience while implementing smart, agile, and streamlined processes that benefit both direct and supporting teams. The role will also help demonstrate to key stakeholders and the wider business the importance of engagement and PR channels in the region’s growth. 

What you’ll bring: 

  • A strategic thinker who can translate business challenges and ambitions into a clear strategy based on research, insight, and proven experience 

  • A strong leader with a proven track record of growing and managing engagement channels, and influencing core business KPIs including Brand Awareness, Share of Search, and Share of Voice 

  • Experience in developing various forms of entertainment, including influencer and talent management 

  • Experience in developing and leading a PR strategy and implementing core PR success measurements including PR value and SEO impact 

  • Experience in blog management and understanding their role in supporting SEO metrics 

  • Strong analytical and communication skills 

  • Evidence of understanding and passion for social and content trends 

  • Creativity in approach and openness to testing theories and learning from well-designed tests 

  • Experience using analytical tools and implementing reporting to measure success 

  • Ability to manage varied and diverse stakeholders 

  • A passion for Casino and Poker; experience within the gambling industry is a strong advantage 

  • Experience working with and managing production, social, and PR agencies 

  • Experience working with a wide range of teams, from Creative to Analytics 

  • Experience managing large and complex budgets 

  • Experience working internationally and adapting strategies and plans to specific market needs and nuances 

  • Strong ability to lead, manage, and develop a diverse team 

  • Native, fluent, or highly advanced skills in Spanish or French are highly beneficial
