We have an opportunity for a strategic Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager with proven excellence in leadership and operational efficiency. You will lead a large team of experienced manufacturing operations supervisors. You will establish long-term objectives and guidelines for managing and monitoring cell performance and productivity. You will lead scheduling and sequencing of work, as well as production innovation to optimize production. You will also lead projects and resolve production problems, develop operating plans, and recommend investments to improve the organization's production capabilities. As the leader, you will be responsible for alignment of the TAT and Engine TAT lean transformation and recovery plans.    

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:  

  • Manage and ensure all quality related items for the unit or shift are complete and documented so that established quality standards are met.  

  • Lead cost reduction efforts and process improvements for the unit or shift to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.  

  • Lead scheduling for the unit or shift to ensure that operations run according to established production schedules.  

  • Lead the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for the unit or shift to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources.  

  • Drive materials and logistics problem resolution for the unit or shift to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.  

  • Establish performance objectives and leads cell performance and productivity.  

  • Leads production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for the unit or shift to enhance production capabilities for assigned Product Lines. 

  • Partner with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:  

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience. 

  • 7+ years of experience as an operations manager in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles 

 

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:  

  • 5+ years’ manufacturing experience within Aerospace Industry   

  • Collaborative leadership behaviors that emphasize high goal setting, team empowerment and providing support.  

  • Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.  

  • The ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.     

  • Strong background of leading in a fast-paced, high mix manufacturing

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
