Job Title : Senior Manager / Manager Formulation Consumer Applications

Purpose of the Position :
Completely manage and lead global formulation projects for Biosurfactants (Evonik Innovation Programs)
Responsible for broadening the scope of Biosurfactants with application development across personal, homecare applications and beyond
Key Responsibilities :
The individual in this role will design & develop new innovative formulations related to consumer care applications and beyond.
Lead technical discussions with customers, be able to co-develop customer centric solutions
Independently run experiments, generate ideas, develop products and prototypes, matching customer specification.
Understanding of the basic principles and applications in the area of personal care and homecare expertise.
Apply and interpret standard scientific theories, concepts, and techniques.
Ensure proper documentation of experiments, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusion.
Capable of handling experimental equipment for performance evaluation of products and maintenance of the same (working conditions, calibration, etc).
Regularly communicates progress of assigned project.
Responsible for the safety in the lab including proper documentation status, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Interaction with customer on need basis.
Education & Experience Required
Education: PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
PhD in Chemistry with minimum 5-6 years of experience in an Application/Technical Service lab of Personal Care, Homecare specialty chemicals company, or FMCG sector.
Master's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with minimum 9-10 years of experience in the same field.
Prior experience in cosmetic product formulation is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent understanding of ingredient chemistry, particularly in designing new formulations and application formats for consumer applications in cosmetics and cleaning.
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
