The Senior Manager, Key Accounts establishes, strengthens, and expands relationships with target customers who already have or are building a global presence. You will work with hyperscaler customer accounts to influence and position Keppel Data Centres as their preferred data centre partner.
Using your network and interpersonal skills, you will cultivate strong relationships throughout target customer organizations to influence the sales process. You will be responsible for closing deals with target accounts and for developing new customer pipelines.
The Senior Manager, Key Accounts works with presales engineering to qualify and deliver accurate and complete solutions. You will maintain close contact with the customer throughout project delivery phases and maintain ongoing communication to ensure customer success.
Having a sense of urgency to help meet customers objectives and working well with cross functional team members are critical to success in this role.
You will work closely with local country teams to lead customer account planning cycle and ensure assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by Keppel Data Centres.
This is an opportunity to join an established, well regarded data centre owner and operator with significant expansion plans across APAC, US and EMEA regions. You will have significant exposure to the full data centre development lifecycle along with C-level exposure.
This role will report to the Head of Commercial and is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Create opportunities to serve customers’ expansion plans across multiple markets, with a focus on promoting Keppel’s new market expansions
Proactively lead and execute a strategic account planning process to support client expansion plans
Meet assigned sales and revenue targets
Negotiate new and renewal contracts, supported by our inhouse platform resources
Forecast and report on opportunities to management for planning purposes
Commercially and financially astute, with the ability to lead contract negotiations to maximise profitability and manage risk
Travel overseas for work / assignment as and when necessary or requested by your immediate supervisor / head of department
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent
More than 8 years of experience in a Sales/Commercial/Account Management role
Experience selling hyperscale/wholesale data centre spaces will be highly regarded
Existing relationships with international hyperscale customers are preferred
A demonstrable track record of negotiating and closing high value, technically complex deals
Detailed knowledge of the data centre industry, investment trends and customer deployment requirements
Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
A good sales track record and having ability to influence and work collaboratively with cross functional and geographically diverse stakeholders
The ability to travel, as required
