Within the Customer Digital Channels area, Sky Italia, the first Italian media company and the European leader in entertainment, is seeking for a Chapter Lead of Solutioning with excellent analytical and technical skills merged with a real passion for computer science and innovation that will work in a complex and mature Agile context.
Solutioning Chapter Lead
The candidate will lead a team of different profiles, ranging from architects, to tech leads and analysts, all with the common goal of ensuring the best possible solutions being discussed, ideated, defined, estimated and implemented by our digital agile teams, these colleagues ultimately belong and contribute to.
Within a matrix-based organization, taking care of digital solutions, channels and touch points for our prospects and customers to interact with Sky, the Chapter Solutioning will encompass Sr colleagues who bring context, knowledge and expertise on our solution and technical/technological competences mainly for two (high-level) purposes:
As Chapter Lead and Manager of these colleagues the candidate will be the “best version” of his/her people, the north star of his/her colleagues whenever there’s the need for more seniority, experience, … and the reference point for the digital product lines as well as the other external stakeholders (e.g. business).
Key Responsibilities:
· Influence (directly and through his/her colleagues), support and guide solutioning within Sky by collaborating with business and driving the decisions in order to speed up and optimize the final solution without compromising with quality and maintainability
· Define (directly and through his/her colleagues) high-level estimates for such solutions
· Support (directly and through his/her colleagues participating to the different agile teams) the product lines in developing those solutions
· Manage his/her direct reports and ensure proper personal and professional development and progression and create/enhance/maintain/diffuse great team spirit
· Work on best practices and guidelines which can better support, sustain and improve the activity of the colleagues in his/her area
· Foster innovation through introduction of new technologies, products, services and approaches, processes.
Core competencies and qualifications:
· Degree in computer science or related subject
· At least 10 years’ experience in Digital environment, developing digital application and solutions based on cloud architectures
· At least 5 years’ experience in leading teams and managing colleagues in a fast-paced and high demanding environment
· Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of creativity
· Good knowledge of modern technologies (Micro, Domain Driven Design, SSR, REST, Spring framework, Node.JS, Angular, REACT, VUE) and service architecture and platforms, including key aspects (e.i.: caching, proxies, REST, security, performance, scalability)
· Excellent relationship building, teamwork and collaboration skills
· Good knowledge of Agile methodologies
· Fluent English (written and spoken)
· Strong sense of accountability

· Ability to build networks of contacts who can contribute to success
