What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager of IT & Operational Risk Management will drive the Wealth Management Technology IT Change and Incident Management processes, execute reporting, escalation and monitoring for WMT Technology Currency, and provide review and advisory to WMT Project teams for IT Risk Triages. This position will lead the WMT Operational Risk and Resilience team, with 1 direct report, within the broader WMT IT Risk Team. 
 
The successful candidate will have an advanced understanding of IT & Operational Risk Management, providing control and advisory services to application development, support teams and the Wealth Management Business. Services provided include IT & Operational Risk Analysis, Risk Awareness & Advisory, Risk & Compliance exposure Reporting, and Audit & Regulatory response.

What will you do?

  • Drive IT Change management processes such as: Review and approval of IT Changes, leading Local Change Advisory Board (CAB) and represent WMT in Enterprise CAB sessions.  
  • Continuously identify reporting improvement opportunities in the Change Management module within the organization ITSM tool (ServiceNow).
  • Regularly review process and procedural documentation on Change Management processes established by Enterprise Change Management.
  • Collaborate and coach WMT teams and stakeholders on change management processes
  • Lead Post Incident Learning (PIL) Sessions with respective WMT teams to determine why Incidents occurred, and document what mitigation steps are required to be performed
  • Identify, assess, and determine treatment recommendations for WMT Technology Currency
  • Monitor and report WMT Technology Currency compliance
  • Develop a strategy for WMT Technology Currency
  • Investigate and document WMT Operational Risk Events
  • Provide thorough review and advisory to WMT Project teams for IT Risk Triages
  • Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 5+ years of IT Risk and/or Change Management experience
  • Strong understanding of ITSM and ITIL Change Management process/practices
  • Strong knowledge of Technology Currency
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working with Excel and Power Point

Nice to have

  • CRISC, CISSP or CISA certifications
  • Knowledge of GRC tools (e.g. Archer)
  • Change Management or ITSM Certification
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management/Financial Services industry
