What is the opportunity?

RBC Technology Infrastructure (TI) is executing one of the most ambitious transformation agendas in the bank’s history - modernizing platforms, automating operations, and building the foundation for the Bank of Tomorrow.

To enable disciplined execution, we’re establishing a Delivery & Execution function within the TI Strategic Planning & Execution team. As a Senior Manager, Infrastructure Delivery Operations, you will provide the operational backbone that keeps delivery across TI’s strategic initiatives consistent, accurate, & transparent.

You will partner closely with the Directors of IT Initiative Delivery and the initiative leads to standardize tracking, reporting, and governance routines, ensuring that progress, risks, benefits, and interdependencies are clearly understood across the portfolio. This role is critical in maintaining the operating rhythm that allows TI’s leadership to make data-driven decisions and deliver measurable results.

What will you do?

Portfolio Governance & Coordination

  • Manage the end-to-end portfolio tracking and reporting cycle across all major TI initiatives
  • Maintain a single source of truth for progress, risks, dependencies, and benefits
  • Ensure all initiatives use standardized templates, definitions, and reporting methods
  • Support the preparation of the monthly TI Executive Steering Committee updates and ad-hoc reporting packages

Delivery Rhythm & Oversight

  • Coordinate key governance routines (status updates, portfolio reviews, etc.)
  • Track initiative health, delivery milestones, and benefits realization progress
  • Identify cross-initiative interdependencies and escalate potential conflicts early
  • Maintain an enterprise view of delivery performance and support continuous improvement

Analytics & Insight

  • Monitor delivery KPIs (schedule adherence, spend vs. plan, benefits realized)
  • Highlight emerging risks and delivery trends for the Infrastructure Delivery leadership team

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with Directors of IT Initiative Delivery to streamline information flow from initiatives to leadership
  • Provide operational and analytical support to initiative leads as needed
  • Foster collaboration across TI and partner teams by maintaining alignment and consistency in delivery practices

What do you need to succeed

Must -Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, delivery governance, or portfolio operations within large, complex organizations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain attention to detail under pressure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to interface effectively with VP-level leaders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
  • Experience developing and maintaining governance frameworks, tracking tools, and performance dashboards
  • Experience in a large financial institution or global technology organization
  • Working knowledge of technology delivery environments

Nice to Have:

  • Experience consolidating program financials, KPIs, and risk reporting across portfolios
  • Exposure to agile or hybrid delivery models
  • Technical Fluency: Understanding of cloud, automation, or infrastructure modernization domains.
