We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated, and seasoned corporate social responsibility professional based in Bangalore to join the Salesforce South Asia team and lead India philanthropy in alignment with Section 135 of the India Companies Act, 2013. In partnership with a global network of social impact colleagues, South Asia Leadership and subject matter experts, this person will operationalise a portfolio of India CSR grants along with overseeing other philanthropic opportunities across South Asia aligned with our core priorities of education, nature & sustainability, and the Agents for Impact Accelerator program.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the Indian CSR domain with a deep understanding of CSR compliance and regulations, and a network of NGO partners aligned to Salesforce’s strategic priorities of education and nature & sustainability. They should be process-driven and able to deliver strategic & operational excellence while building strong stakeholder relationships at all levels of the company.

Specific responsibilities include:
Strategic Grant making & Portfolio Management

  • Facilitate cross-functional conversations across Philanthropy and Salesforce Leadership and build a unified, comprehensive grant strategy for South Asia that is aligned with philanthropic and business priorities
  • Build and curate a high-impact pipeline of NGO partners aligned with our core pillars: Education, Nature & Sustainability, and the Agents for Impact Non-profit Accelerator programs.
  • Lead the AI for Impact India Accelerator in partnership with the Global Accelerator team, driving education, sustainability, and social impact use cases while advancing the equitable adoption of responsible agentic AI through a customized six-month AI coaching program for nonprofits.
  • Beyond India CSR, oversee regional philanthropic opportunities to ensure a cohesive impact strategy across South Asia.
  • Disaster Response: Lead philanthropic response to tier 1 crises through our prevent, prepare, and respond strategy
  • Create a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management
  • Actively create opportunities for partnership, collaboration, and engagement with grantees

Grants Operations

  • Lead & own end-to-end grant lifecycle operations for India CSR grants
  • Manage annual budget effectively including tracking grant pipeline, managing forecast, and processing payments in a timely and compliant manner
  • Partner with India finance and legal teams to ensure compliance with CSR regulations
  • Monitor and audit CSR grant portfolio, creating performance indicators and measuring success
  • Reviewing new grant proposals; providing clear & concise written analyses, and recommendations for funding including drafting proposal summaries
  • Complete required reporting for India CSR Board & Annual reporting
  • Maintain files, reports, and other necessary documents for compliance and audit purposes
  • Coordinating updates with the global & regional communications team

Ecosystem Engagement:

  • Serve as the India lead for Salesforce Philanthropy, representing our work internally and at public forums
  • Accelerate global progress through strategic partnerships with organizations such as the WEF and UN.
  • Lead India philanthropic response to tier 1 crises through our Prevent, Prepare, Respond strategy
  • Lead & support strategic events - giving back is at the core across key Salesforce initiatives
  • Act as liaison with India leadership and other business stakeholders on all matters related to India CSR grants, providing proactive insight and updates
  • Develop relationships with the South Asia Leadership team and global philanthropy team to maximize the social and business impact


Ideal qualifications include:

  • 12+ years of overall professional experience, 6+ years in grantmaking and grant operations preferably in the corporate context
  • Expert understanding of India CSR regulatory norms and experience adjusting programs to align with new rules
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to achieve strategic objectives
  • Ability to develop relationships and credibility with executive leaders to drive change in a fast-paced organization
  • Subject matter expertise in grant operations and/or one or more of our strategic priorities of education, nature & sustainability and familiarity with technology for social impact
  • Understanding of impact measurement and reporting

Requirements for success:

  • Ability to balance and manage CSR operations, strategy, strategic partnerships, and stakeholder relationships, with proven experience working closely with senior executives.
  • Ability to work an altered schedule to allow for regular overlap in working hours with colleagues based in North America
  • Located in Bangalore, one of our largest office in India, with the ability to travel on an as-needed basis
