Senior Manager, HR Business Partner - Delaware, Eastern Maryland, Southern New Jersey

Position Summary:

As a Senior Manager HR Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic human resources business partner within a retail Division of approximately 1,000-1,600 stores and 22,000 colleagues.  This role will allow you to support a Region Director with approximately 140 stores.  In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing components of the people strategy at Division and Region levels.  You will also utilize human resources centers of excellence (COE) to advise, inform and execute the strategy.

In this role you will:

  • Develop region people strategies and align, build and execute the strategies to address the current and future direction of the business

  • Provide thought partnership to Talent Development Business Partner and HR Director on talent mobility and development

  • Champion a change capable organization that helps colleagues to thrive in a constantly changing environment

  • Broker consulting, project, and other work with COEs, leveraging Enterprise resources and expertise

  • Share key insights and actions based on HR data and metrics

  • Leverage technology, tools, and resources to optimize organizational effectiveness (people, process, policy)

  • Recognize, articulate and help shape company culture

  • Sustain Leader focus on engagement of colleagues; recognizes trends; designs and implements solutions

  • Facilitate dialogue and discussion to align others on values and encourage collaboration

**Candidate must be based in or geographically within 50miles or less of Delaware, Eastern Maryland, or Southern New Jersey**

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Human Resource experience

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time or as business needs require

  • Knowledgeable in a variety of HR generalist concepts; ability to identify business opportunities and develop and implement people strategies to address

  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with field or senior business leaders; ability to coach and develop colleagues at all levels

  • Proven collaboration skills, within Division and with members of the HR centers of excellences

  • Strong strategic thinking skills; ability to develop, document and communicate strategies

  • Able to work autonomously

  • Able to gather data, analyze issues, identify root causes and address opportunities related to a diverse and dynamic slate of business challenges

  • Experience in recognizing development gaps and partnering across groups to solve them; strong facilitation and training skills

  • Ability to triage and prioritize competing priorities

  • Project and change management skills to respond to short and long term business priorities

  • Ability to influence and drive action and accountability in others

  • Thoughtful and planful communicator

Preferred Qualifications:

SHRM or HRCI Certified

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required; equivalent work experience may substitute

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
