Provide expertise and guidance, lead activities of Government Affairs in Japan

Key Responsibilities:
• Pro-actively lead and work seamlessly with BU on reimbursement strategies, reviews reimbursement submissions (created by BU) and provides analysis and recommendations to support negotiations with Japan government to get more favorable pricing.
• Provide expertise and guidance to reimbursement committee. May lead discussions on policy around Japan trade associations
• Identify and evaluate process improvements and/or course correction/course alignment opportunities
• Liaison between Edwards and government on important matters regarding government policies and questionnaires, as well as Edwards business related items such as product quality and supply
• Identify, analyze and advice regarding relevant bills and policy positions introduced in Japan for potential impact to the company, and represents EW with governmental bodies
• Lead and manage Edwards GA consultants and drives priorities and activities
• Other incidental duties

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in in related field , 0 years experience of previous experience in healthcare, with substantial experience in government relations, sales, tendering or pricing, reimbursement function, regulatory in multinational pharmaceutical or medical device companies Required and
Coursework, seminars, and/or other formal government and/or trade association training Required
Business unit management, pricing & reimbursement experience is highly Preferred

• Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and communications systems
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent documentation, communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
• Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of legal requirements relevant to federal lobbying disclosure and political action committee management
• Extensive knowledge of legislative and policy making process
• Ability to transfer knowledge and mentor other team members on specialized skills
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and to proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and cross functional teams
