Senior Manager, Global Trade Investigations & Disclosures (Remote)

The Senior Manager, Global Trade Investigations & Disclosures (I&D) will investigate and disclose violations of global trade laws and regulations. The candidate selected will serve in Collins Aerospace’s Central Global Trade team within the Legal, Contracts, and Compliance organization and will report to the Director & Assistant General Counsel responsible for the I&D team. 

What You Will Do:

  • Evaluating, via interviews and document review, allegations of potential violations of global trade compliance laws and regulations
  • Managing an active caseload, consistent with internal and U.S. Government deadlines, using RTX’s matter-management tool
  • Drafting disclosures to US Government agencies regarding violations of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Working collaboratively with members of the larger Global Trade team and other functional organizations to identify root causes of regulatory violations, develop compliance solutions, and implement robust corrective actions
  • Performing audits or assessments of employee compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Developing presentations, and briefing RTX and Collins Aerospace leadership on status of ongoing global trade investigations
  • Conducting training and employee counseling on regulatory and policy requirements
  • Documenting the closure of matters that do not give rise to a reasonable suspicion of a regulatory violation
  • Performing data searches within company systems, pulling reports, and analyzing data and trends for the purpose of identifying compliance weaknesses and crafting actionable improvement steps

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior experience in global trade investigations and audits/assessments
  • Established expertise in export controls laws, primarily the ITAR and EAR 
  • Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry

Demonstrated ability to:

  • Draft lengthy submissions in a clear, concise, and coherent manner under tight deadlines
  • Multi-task, manage, and prioritize multiple deadlines simultaneously and to quickly adjust to sudden and unexpected needs, including those occasionally requiring attention outside of normal business hours
  • Effectively and timely provide guidance and offer practical solutions to other functions 
  • Confidently train stakeholders and present to senior management  
  • Perform factual analyses against complex regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment of rapidly changing demands, and to remain collegial in the face of disagreements and stakeholder resistance
  • A constant willingness to learn, remain open-minded to alternative and creative approaches and solutions, and ability to accept candid, real-time feedback on performance
  • Ability to operate independently and achieve outcomes in an environment of limited oversight

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
