The Global Engineering leadership team is looking for a leader to lead its Integration & Initiatives stream and join the organization as a Senior Manager based out of Everett, Washington. This position will report to the Director, Strategy & Integration for the Global engineering organization. The hired candidate will lead & manage a team of project managers in shaping, managing the overall scope for this team. One of the prime responsibilities for this role is to be the primary integration point for global engineering team with the Chief Engineer office & GSC&SE leadership offices. This makes it a high visibility role and requires strong ability to manage a team, work with people from across the globe from different cultures & time zones, work with senior leaders, plan & manage strategic initiatives, navigate through ambiguity with a positive & problem-solving mindset.

We are seeking candidates who are detail-oriented, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities.  The ideal candidate will be able to manage tasks with accuracy and collaborate clearly and professionally with team members at all levels.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Integrate Global Engineering (GE) organization with Chief Engineer (CE) office and Global Supply Chain & Systems Engineering (GSC&SE) office

  • Be the prime representation for the GE leadership team in the US time-zone working with other functions and non-ET&T teams

  • Lead and solve for barriers that are impediments for success of global engineering teams

  • Lead special initiatives like global Tool & Data access, adaptive planning, assessment & mitigation for single threaded capabilities, etc. for Global engineering

  • Collaborate with GE integration stream leads from across the globe & partner for success

  • Support GE leadership in preparing, strategizing and solving for adhoc challenges and aid navigation through organizational complexity

  • Plan & implement for smooth running of organizational operating rhythm for global engineering

  • Defining, implementing, maintaining and improving processes, tools and metrics that govern and support the operations

  • Manage the entire performance management process of employees reporting to you

  • Develop and pursue plans for employee’s development, trainings and career development

  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 14+ years of experience with significant exposure to working with senior executives

  • Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role

  • Strong experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams

  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal are required to be able to operate across various levels in the organization

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in working with business leaders in integrating different aspects of the business in a global environment

  • Experience communicating and presenting with the ability to effectively convey complex information to global peers and stakeholders

  • Experience and good understanding of aerospace industry

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Team player with an affinity to socialize and engage with stakeholders (across global teams & US) and build strong working relationships

  • Ability to lead high-level strategic approaches, develop deliverables, and execute processes

  • Experience working with virtual teams across multiple time-zones

  • Ability to deal with uncertainty, thinking out of the box to resolve issues at hand

  • Expertise in using MS Office tools

  • Experience working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment

  • Experience mentoring team members and partners to accomplish project and departmental goals and objectives
