Senior Manager, Global Commercial Contracts

As a member of the Global Business Operations and Planning, the Sr. Manager Global Commercial Contracts drives the strategic oversight and execution of Global Commercial contracting across European markets. This role partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to ensure robust governance, scalability, and operational excellence across the full contract lifecycle.)

The Sr. Manager, Global Contracts will also draft agreements and provide operational support from end-to end for all Global Commercial agreements. This includes helping train and educate internal stakeholders on contracting processes and systems that will aid BeOne Medicines in effectively managing the full contracting lifecycle.  Accountable for establishing and continuously improving contract frameworks and processes that can be leveraged across geographies, driving consistency and best practices.

The Senior Manager is accountable for the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of contract management frameworks, ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with global business objectives. Serving as a trusted advisor to the Global Commercial organization, this role leads complex agreement structuring and drafting, while delivering end-to-end operational support for high-impact contracts.

In addition, the role champions capability building across the organization by developing and delivering training, guidance, and best practices that elevate contracting maturity, optimize processes, and enable efficient, compliant management of contractual obligations across geographies.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and train European business partners on Global Commercial Contracting processes while serving as the lead point of contact for contracts triaging and assessment.

  • Managing, organizing, and storing electronic versions of all contracts and other documents in BeOne Medicine’s contract management and other filing systems. Own and optimize contract lifecycle management, including governance of electronic contract repositories (e.g., BeOne Medicine’s contract management systems), ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and audit readiness.

  • Retrieving and providing copies of contracts and other documents upon request.

  • Ensuring that contracts are executed properly and uploaded in a timely manner to BeOne Medicine’s contract management system. Ensure timely, compliant execution and filing of contracts, maintaining rigorous standards for documentation, version control, and process adherence.

  • Drafting and reviewing all Global Commercial agreements, including Confidential Disclosure agreements, Sponsorship agreements, Vendor agreements, Statements of Work, and contract

  • Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a broad range of Global Commercial agreements, including Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Sponsorship Agreements, Vendor Agreements, Statements of Work, and amendments.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to Influence cross-functional teams while providing value added recommendations that drive strategic decision-making and enhance overall contracting workflow and business performance

  • Exhibit strong Commercial business acumen in navigating the complexities of global contracting to optimize contract structure and terms for better business outcomes in collaboration with Legal partners.Display strong understanding of cross-border contracting principles, ensuring compliance with varying legal frameworks, risk management, and facilitating successful global business outcomes

  • Serve as a key liaison across  for Compliance, Legal, Procurement and other functions within the company. Act as a strategic advisor to cross-functional stakeholders, influencing decision-making through value-added recommendations that enhance contracting efficiency, mitigate risk, and drive business performance.

  • Support Global business partners as subject matter expert in contracting strategy, negotiations and BeOne Medicines policies and procedures.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in discussing business and legal concerns, and engaging resources of other departments.

  • Lead or Support strategic and sensitive negotiations of high-value contracts that impact multiple countries and align with Global Commercial objectives

  • Ensure legal aspects of contract are in line with internal guidelines and appropriate processes are followed according to the Global Commercial Contracting policy.

  • Enforce jurisdiction specific guidelines with a strong understanding of local regulations and tax implications related to global operations.

  • Establish and continuously improve contracting frameworks and processes that can be leveraged across geographies, driving consistency and best practices.

  • Identify, analyze, research, and resolve business process issues and make appropriate recommendations.

  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable improvements to contracting workflows.

  • Logical reasoning skills to think through alternate solutions and consequences.

  • Time management, including ability to organize and prioritize work to meet needs of organization. Provide proactive guidance to business owners on contract structuring and risk mitigation, identifying potential issues early and escalating complex legal matters effectively.

  • Keen attention to details and demonstrated ability to multi-task.Provide expertise to Business Owners and other internal stakeholders on options and recommend best approaches; recognize potentially problematic contract terms before engaging the legal department and escalate those terms to the appropriate parties. Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced global environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

  • Participate and/or lead cross functional projects serving to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the Commercial Contract Management process.

Other Qualifications and Experience:

  • BA/BS with at least 7+ years of professional contract administration or equivalent experience at a pharmaceutical or biotech company.

  • Ability to handle multiple high priority contracts and strategic projects simultaneously

  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Experience with contract management software, preferably Agiloft.

  • Experience organizing and maintaining a broad variety of contract types in different countries.

  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information using excellent discretion and judgment.

  • Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and as a team player.

  • Ability to be flexible and willing to accept new responsibilities in a fast-paced,

  • multi-project environment.

  • Biotech/pharmaceutical project/process management experience is strongly preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in contracts software, the Microsoft suite of tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Smartsheet and Excel;

Salary Range Switzerland: 157,400.00 CHF - 196,800.00 CHF
