The Senior Manager, Global Benefits – Americas will lead the strategy, design, and execution of employee benefits programs across Canada and Latin America, with a particular emphasis on Canada and Mexico. This role serves as a regional subject matter expert within RTX Corporation, ensuring benefits programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business and workforce needs.

While the role operates within a U.S.-headquartered environment, responsibilities are focused outside of the U.S., with coordination required for global systems, governance, and vendor relationships.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of benefits programs across Canada and Latin America, including insurance programs, time away from work and retirement plans balancing company requirements with employee experience.
  • Serve as the primary benefits expert for Canada and Mexico, ensuring alignment with local regulations, statutory requirements, and market practices.
  • Partner with U.S.-based HR teams and cross-functionally, Legal, HRIS, Payroll, Finance and Communications teams to ensure alignment on governance, systems, and approvals (without direct ownership of U.S. benefits programs).
  • Design and manage benefits programs for globally mobile employees, including expatriates, inpatriates, and cross-border employees.
  • Partner with Global Mobility to align mobility policies with regional benefits (e.g., international health coverage, local plan integration, and compliance requirements).
  • Manage relationships with regional brokers, consultants, insurers, and third-party administrators, as well as global vendors where programs are interconnected.
  • Establish and maintain a clear governance framework for Canada and Mexico benefits programs, defining US based collaboration partners, escalation paths, and alignment with global standards.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis specific to Canadian and Latin American markets to maintain competitive positioning.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including Canadian provincial regulations and Mexican statutory benefits.
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of multinational risk strategies, including pooling arrangements (global & regional) and captive insurance participation.
  • Drive RFP processes and implementation of regional or global benefits vendors, particularly where solutions span multiple geographies.
  • Develop data driven reporting, analytics, and governance processes to support regional decision-making and global alignment.
  • Oversee vendor performance, service delivery standards, and operational issue resolution across Canada and Mexico, ensuring quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to harmonize benefits programs across the region while maintaining local relevance.
  • Monitor legislative and market developments in Canada and Latin America, including impacts to globally mobile populations.
  • Manage regional benefits budgets, including forecasting and cost tracking.
  • Present insights and recommendations to regional and global leadership.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in a complex, matrixed environment.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 7+ years.
  • Minimum 6 years of benefits experience with a strong focus on Canada and/or Latin America (Mexico strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in Canadian benefits (including provincial considerations) and/or Mexican statutory and supplemental programs.
  • Experience supporting globally mobile employees, including expatriate and cross-border benefits.
  • Experience working in a U.S.-headquartered or global organization with centralized governance models.
  • Proven ability to manage regional programs within a global framework (systems, approvals, shared vendors).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience communicating complex topics to senior leadership level.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or similar designation.
  • Strong understanding of multinational benefits financing, including pooling and/or captives.
  • Familiarity with globally mobile benefits vendors and international health solutions.
  • Experience navigating cross-border compliance and tax considerations for mobile employees.
  • Experience in a large, global, matrixed organization.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
